Chapter eight

You just ignore him and try to stop crying but you can't, so you just block out the conversation between the boys.

*Five POV*

"Five it sounds like it hurt her way worse than we ever knew, you leaving." Luther says.

"What?" I ask confused.

"You leaving it hurt her way deeper than any of us knew."

"I don't get it you heard our conversation?"

"Ever since the, 'you mattered so much to me, you still do. Why can't you see that?'"

"Oh well I can't change the past."

"You can change the future and present so do what's right, admit you were wrong for leaving and stop making excuses." Diego says wisely.

"Fine I will try to talk to her." I whine knowing he's right.

*Y/n POV*

You feel a light tap on your shoulder so you sniffle and quietly say, "Please leave me alone."

"Can we please talk, I feel horrible." Five pleads.

"Fine, one last chance. That's all I swear." You say turning to him.

"Ok that's fair. Y/n I am so sorry I was wrong for leaving you, but you know I can't go back and not leave you."

"Ok what is your point?" You ask impatiently.

"The point is I should have never left you, I can't change that though, what I can change is what I do to help you through it. He pauses for a few moments then continues, "I don't know how to put this but I need you in my life to cope, without you I go crazy."

"Five." Is all you get out of your mouth before you wrap your arms around him and squeeze him tightly.

"Thank you." He whispers in your ear.

"Your welcome." You whisper back.

You guys hug for a soild five minutes before Diego says, "Love birds sorry to break this thing up but we're here."

You let go of him and say, "Ok." You hear Luther gasp, whisper something to Diego, and which he gasps at.

"What?" Five asks for the both of you.

"You didn't even say anything about me saying you two were love birds." Diego says with a little kid sassy face.

"Grow up." You say getting out of the car.

"Oh come on your really don't see it guys?"
Diego asks as the three other doors slam simultaneously.

"No we really don't." You answer sassy.

"See you guys are perfect for each other." Diego whines while pointing at the both of you.

You look at five and whisper, "I think they've gone crazy."

"Yeah um, I'd say so." He says in a fake voice, but you just brush it off.

You guys go up to the door and Diego knocks. A middle aged woman with a braid comes to the door and says annoyed, "I don't want what your selling."

"No actually we aren't selling anything, I'm your son." Diego joyfully states with a huge smile on his face.

"I don't have a son I only have five daughter, now you can leave, sorry to waste your time."

"Wai-." Is all Diego gets out before she slams the door in our faces.

"Well that went well." Five jokes.

You look at him and give him the look of 'bad timing'. "Diego it's going to be ok. You know what it's her loss not yours."

"Sure feels like my loss."

"Diego it'll be ok." Luther says pulling him into a side hug, Five, surprisingly hugged Diego from the other side, and you join the hug hugging Diego from the front.

"See this is all you need we are your family, including Vanya, mom, Allison, Klaus, and Ben, may he Rest In Peace." You say trying to bring the spirits up.

"Yeah we should get going, Five needs to save the world and all." Diego says in a sad voice.

You and five walk a ways ahead of Luther and Diego and you whisper to him, "Five we need to do something about Diego."

"What do you want me to do jump into the house, hold a gun to her head, and get her to admit Diego is her son?"

"Well I mean it wouldn't be to far out of your reach."

"Y/n!"

"Relax I'm only joking, I know you need to get back to saving the world and stuff."

"Yeah that's my main priority, saving the world and stuff." He says in an obvious sarcastic voice.

"Five you know what I mean."

"I actually don't. He pauses for a moment, "
When you think of me what do you think of?"

"Honestly? He nods answering your question, "Five I see a nice, smart, sweet, kind, smart, determined, ambitious, and a charming best friend of mine, so that's what I think when I think of you."

Five does something you would never expect he grabs your hand and says, "Thank you."

You look at him shocked and you say, "Only speaking the truth."

He pauses for a second, you hope was just speechless, and then he just smiles at you.

You guys get the the car and you awkwardly say, "Ok I'm going to let go now."

"Ok." He laughs back.

Once you two are in the car you see Luther and Diego getting closer so you quickly whisper, "I hope neither of them seen that."

Before he had the chance to respond they throw open their doors and Luther squeals, "Oh my gosh we so seen you two hold hands."

"It was because we were arguing and we needed to not be mad at each other and for Diego obviously." You try to lie.

"Umm we are so not buying that." Diego sasses, clearly in a better mood.

You point at Diego and stutter, "See- he, he's in a better mood."

"Yeah see we are professionals." Five backs you up.

"Oh shut up and give us all the details." Luther says brushing off everything you both said.

"There are no details, strictly business." You exclaim raising your eyebrows.

"Yeah only business." Five says bugged by what you said.
