Chapter seventeen

I open my eyes slowly and see Five pacing around in an alleyway. "How the fuck are we still alive?" I ask immediately pulling myself up.

"I don't know Y/n. We're the only two still together. Vanya, Allison, Luther, Diego, and Klaus are all gone. I don't know where they are." He yells, freaking out.

I stay sitting down and whisper, "Five you're supposed solve all of our problems. I don't know where they are."

"Why do I have to solve every fucking problem?"

"Cause that's the only thing you care about."

"No it isn't Y/n, I care about you too."

"No you don't Five, but that's doesn't matter right now. Let's just try to figure out where everyone else is."

"No we aren't going to look for a single other person until us two are good." He practically demands.

"Five I have no interest in making amends with you." I whisper right in his face.

"Ok, if you aren't going to say anything about it Y/n then I will. Are we not going to talk about our kiss?" He asks taking a step forward to me.

"Heat of the moment thing, we don't need to talk about it."

"You said you loved me."

"No I did not." I laugh in his face and then turn around and sit back on the ground.

"Yes you did, do you know how I remember?" He asks sitting next to me on the ground.

"Humor me." I respond, knowing I absolutely did say it, but I won't ever admit it.

"I said it back Y/n, that's how I know you said it."

"Is this a scenario you made up in your head? Because this didn't happen."

"Y/n I- what the hell? I finally do what you've been begging me to do, and now you don't care?"

Tears start to form in my eyes and I whisper, "Yeah because it's too late Five, I don't love you anymore."

"What?" He responds quietly.

"I don't love you anymore Five, not like I used to."

There is a few minutes of silence and then he says, "I think we better go find everyone else."

"Kay." I respond shortly immediately walking away from him.

"Y/n!" Five says loudly, making me turn around.

"What the hell do you want Five?"

"I was thinking we could take this car."

"Oh, yeah."

"A thank you would be nice." He whispers sassily.

"Excuse me?"

"Nothing." He yells as we both slam our doors at the same time.

*Three hours later*

"Where could they have gone? I can't find them." Five whispers to himself while I prop my feet on the dashboard.

"That really sucks Five."

He takes a deep breath and then says, "Yeah it does, some help would be nice."

"I bet it would be."

"It's fine i'll probably work better without you feeding me bad ideas anyways."

"Well Luther is right there." I say pointing out of the car to the side of the road.

Five just rolls his eyes which makes me smirk. "Oh hey lovebirds!!" Luther shouts out with joy when he sees us.

"Don't call us that." Five and I both say at the same time.

"Wow what happened with you two."

"He's emotionally unavailable and the most self centered person i've ever met." I respond quickly with a huge smile.

"Well she is the most self righteous person I know. She can NEVER admit when she's wrong. She is also a huge fat liar." He responds with a stupid smile on his face.

"Well i'm never wrong, so what do you want me to admit?"

That really makes Five mad so we both start arguing. We were both yelling so loud to try to get out points across. I faintly heard Luther yell, "Guys!"

I turned to look at him. "What?" Five and I asked with an attitude.

"Where is everyone else?" He asks looking at me.

"Don't look at me, remember Five solves all these kinds of problems."

"I don't know where they are nor does Y/n." Five states slyly.

"Who found Luther?"

"Ugh I hate you so much."

"Not what you said earlier."

"Well i'm just going to pretend like that didn't happen, just like you of course."

"Mhm, okay Five, except the thing is what you claimed happened didn't really happen." I respond, doubling down on my lie.

Five slams his fist against the hood of the car. "Woah buddy calm down." I say mockingly.

After I say that Five practically comes running at me. "Why don't we all just take a breath, very far away from each other." Luther says forcing distance between us.

"Don't worry Luther he's too much of a sissy to actually hit me."

"And you're too much of a sissy to admit that you kissed me!" Five yells throwing his hands up in defeat.

"Wait you kissed him Y/n?" Luther asks looking oddly disappointed in me.

"No, of course I didn't." I respond, obviously lying.

"You're lying, why the fuck would you kiss him?"

I sigh and then basically whisper, "It was a spur of the moment thing, I didn't think I would ever see him again. It was like a hate kiss you know."

"You kissed me because you hate me, but, now stay with me, said you loved me right before that? The pieces aren't fitting is all i'm saying." Five slyly states.

"I think I might side with Five on this one. I'm sorry Y/n." Luther says throwing his hands up while he leans against the car next to Five.

"Ok fuck both of you, i'm leaving, and I swear on everything if you follow me i'll kill you. Well not you Luther just Five." I say with a small smile on my face and then start walking away.

"Y/n wait!" I hear Five yell; surprisingly.

"What do you want?"

"Luther I just lied about her saying I love you to me. She didn't say that, I just said it so you'd side with me. I'm sorry Y/n." Five lies.

"Five come here." I say, gesturing for him to come towards me.

He stands up fully and walks over to me. "What?"

"Why did you just lie to Luther?" I whisper sternly.

"Well whether I want to admit it or not, I need your help. You can't help me if I also have to find you." He whispers back, seeming surprisingly sweet.

"Oh, thank you Five."

"Are we done talking now?" He asks snapping back into his old self.

"Wish we would had never started."

"Me too, let's go to the car."

I nod and climb into the backseat, and he gets in the drivers seat.
