Tarot 101

Tarot has gained popularity within recent years, which has understandably attracted both positive and negative attention. Social media platforms such as TikTok, YouTube, and Instagram have increased the chance of people stumbling across tarot content. Although some find it very insightful, most are still skeptical or consider it demonic. Many associate it with new age spirituality, not knowing that tarot has existed for a very long time. Longer than some of the relatively newer and popular religions like Christianity for example. Tarot is simply a tool used to channel divine messages by interpreting illustrations. Although some people don't rely on cards, they are still channeling divine messages by preaching or providing advice. There isn't a big difference, but tarot reading is still shunned. Honestly, I believe fearful people who lack discernment and don't embrace their psychic abilities are the main ones against it. Also, malicious and envious people who are afraid of being exposed. However, I will acknowledge that there are also some people who use their gifts with the malicious intent of deceiving others. Many of the people who are drawn to tarot readings are usually in a vulnerable, doubtful, and/or confused mindset, seeking spiritual guidance. They usually don't feel in control of their harsh circumstances, so they try to gain it through more knowledge. Unfortunately, we live in a world where people will take advantage of that for personal gain. There are a lot of tarot readers or people who pose as one that scam. They pretend to have pure genuine intentions and only deliver generic messages that they know the person is desperate to hear. This can create codependency and a karmic cycle, which keeps them as a client/customer or viewer. Eventually, if someone comes to their senses, they'll notice how inaccurate the predictions or interpretations were. They'll regret spending so much money on the readings. This is a common experience that drives people away and feeds the negative connotation. I encourage you to work on strengthening and trusting your own intuition. Stop ignoring and doubting it. All the answers that you seek are already within you. Stop giving your power away to others. Remind yourself that tarot readers are imperfect people on their own journey too. Sometimes they can subconsciously channel messages that project their beliefs, experiences, or inner conflicts. Also, you don't always know what type of spirits, deities, and/or entities that they're channeling from. This is why having a strong discernment is so important. You'll be able to then distinguish between spiritual practitioners with pure intent versus those with ill intent. I also encourage you to practice channeling your own insight by tapping into your psychic abilities and using meditation or tarot cards to do so. As mentioned in the previous chapter, use your sixth sense to interpret cards and divine synchronicities. Focus on how you feel in that moment, your thoughts, what visually or audibly stands out, and if there are any sudden noticeable scents or tastes while channeling. If you have pets around, pay attention to their sudden actions also. Smudging/cleansing your cards and other spiritual tools such as crystals, sound bowls, or candles regularly after is very important. As well as your space and body. Say a prayer before each reading. Call upon God, your spirit guides and/or angels. Ask for their protection and guidance. Set the pure intention to heal and empower others. Now I will be sharing the basic meanings of each tarot card and then I'll provide my own channeled messages that someone may need to hear. So please stay until the end of the chapter or scroll down and select a pile if you aren't interested in learning how to read tarot yourself.
