I've briefly mentioned in my Are You Spiritual or Religious chapter, that everyone is born with spiritual gifts. Unfortunately, psychic abilities have been stigmatized by most conditioned and religious people. The ones that finally recognize and accept their inner power are often shunned or perceived as demonic. Especially women. They were even killed during the beginning of patriarchy, because their wisdom posed a threat. Many people were forced to suppress their spiritual beliefs and gifts. However, the knowledge and power remained in their blood, being passed down throughout generations. Fortunately, the current Age of Aquarius has reawakened many souls, causing their abilities to be heightened. This is one of the reasons why there are a lot more empaths. Some have learned how to navigate through life more smoothly by embracing their gifts, while others continue to fear and resist it. Doing so only creates more challenges and anxiety though. The first step to strengthening your gifts is awareness. Become aware of the 6 Claires. Our souls are able to experience this earthly realm through the five human senses, which includes sight, sound, touch, smell, and taste. Although we're conditioned to focus on the physicality of the senses, we often disregard the predominant spiritual aspect. Our bodies, especially our gut, are constantly sending us signals when certain external energies do not align with our frequency. Sadly, many of us are used to ignoring or doubting our intuition. Eventually, we come to the realization that our gut feeling was right all along, and we regret not listening. To prevent that from being a recurring theme, I will be providing information on the 6 psychic abilities and discussing how using them in your favor can strengthen your intuition. I encourage you to determine which ones are your strongest and work on developing the other ones.

Clairsentience: The gift of clear feeling. People who embody this gift are definitely empaths. You are a highly sensitive person who processes information through emotional, physical, and energetic feelings. You're someone with high emotional intelligence and often use it to console others. Although you're great at actively listening and comforting those in need, you tend to internalize people's emotions, traumas, and pain while doing so. Sometimes feeling them so intensely as if they were your own. (This could also happen with fictional characters and stories.) You may even have physical symptoms. Some examples include experiencing a sudden change in room/body temperature, chills, goosebumps, tingles, pressure, or even pain in certain parts of your body as an energetic response. You may have strong water or Virgo placements and struggle with stomach/digestive or skin issues that worsen around negative energy. You notice how anxious, drained, or happy you feel around certain people. You tend to get sick very easily. You quickly pick up on the vibe of people, places, or objects. You may struggle with sensory overload and avoid crowded areas because of it. You immediately feel the energetic shifts in a place, person, or situation. You can feel when someone is pulling away from you and is no longer as emotionally invested. You can feel when someone has malicious intentions. You also feel the planetary and astrological shifts more intensely than others such as the different phases of the moon, when a planet is in retrograde, or during the different zodiac seasons. The changes heavily impact your mood and energy levels. Many of your decisions are probably based on gut feelings, causing you to avoid or gravitate towards certain things. You may procrastinate on certain tasks until you feel motivated enough to complete them. You may experience frequent moments of creative blockages unless you feel inspired. You may start many sentences with "I feel like..."

Clairvoyance: The gift of clear sight. You're someone with a spiritual 20/20 vision. You may have a vivid imagination and prophetic dreams. You're also a visual learner with a strong visual memory. You can easily see right through people's facades and lies by using the slightest clues presented. You may naturally be great at reading tarot cards due to your great interpretation of the illustrations. You may notice repeated angel numbers and other synchronicities a lot more. You have an eye for aesthetically pleasing things. You're very meticulous about your physical appearance, home, and personal belongings. You may be fascinated with fashion, photography, cinematography, and art paintings. You can possibly see auras. You may have seen spirits or had some imaginary friends as a child. It is easier for you to manifest things quicker, because of your strong ability to visualize during meditation. Your gift can be used to inspire and heal others through visual creative expression.

Clairaudience: The gift of clear hearing. You're probably an auditory learner who has a loud and racy mind. Believe it or not, some people lack an inner dialogue. You may have great listening and writing skills. Your memory is formed by spoken information. You're someone that enjoys podcasts, lectures, audiobooks, guided meditations, listening to channeled messages, and having intellectual or philosophical conversations. You can articulate your feelings and thoughts in a way that really impacts others. Your words can be very soothing, healing, insightful, empowering, and persuasive, making you a great potential motivational speaker. You are also very talented and passionate about music and may even be a musician or dancer. You probably pay attention to the lyrics in songs more closely than others. You're sensitive to sounds and notice the slightest shift in someone's tone. You may have strong Air or Fire placements in your birth natal chart. You experience ringing in your ear randomly at times. You're someone that channels divine messages easily. Just like those with clairsentience, your gift could be used to console others. You can also motivate, teach, and comfort many with your insightful words or powerful voice.

Claircognizance: The Gift of Clear Knowing You're an analytical thinker with great pattern recognition that causes you to make pretty accurate predictions or interpretations. However, you often intuitively know things without any logical reasoning. You're a very knowledgeable person with a strong discernment. You may be fascinated with researching things such as astrology, numerology, tarot, holistic practices, herbal medicine, spirituality, astronomy, and mathematics. You may love reading spiritual and self-improvement books. You can detect lies and low vibrational things very easily. You can sense when someone is malicious or envious. You can take one look at someone and immediately know their hidden dark secrets or agendas. You can accurately guess the shocking plot twist in a movie or show without ever seeing it before. Some may label you a conspiracy theorist. You're right most of the time about things though. You're someone that is selective with who you allow into your energetic field and share personal information with. You know when to spiritually shield yourself and not allow certain people to have physical contact with you. You know when something bad is about to happen. You can possibly sense when death is approaching for someone around you. You know when to avoid doing things or going certain places. For example, you know not to take the same route to work one morning, because you sense a bad accident approaching and then you later find out that you were right. You may also know how to read tarot or perform certain spiritual rituals without prior knowledge. This is a sign that your soul chose to carry the gifts and knowledge gained from past lives into this one instead of starting from scratch. You may start many statements with "I know" or "I think." People that are claircognizant make great teachers, scientists, psychologists, astrologers, and judges. Your gift is meant to be shared with others to educate and expand their perspectives.

Clairalience & Clairgustance: The Psychic Gifts of Smell and Taste Although most people don't acknowledge these two spiritual gifts, I think they are just as important. Certain smells can trigger memories or feelings. For example, some people can sense when a dead loved one's spirit is around by a signature scent that reminds them of the person who has passed. They could've had a grandma that smelled a certain way or a grandpa who frequently smoked cigars and one random day with no prior thoughts may they experience their relative's presence through the smell associated with them. People with clairalience can possibly smell someone's aura/energy. They may be very sensitive to certain incense, candles, perfumes, etc. They may even rely on this sense to make and/or sell pleasant smelling products or potions that can manipulate other people's perception and behavior. For example, notice how fragrances evoke certain emotions and attract or repel people? Clairgustance can also trigger memories or feelings and be used to manipulate the atmosphere. Have you ever heard the phrase "they left a bad taste in my mouth?" Well, some people can literally taste negative unpleasant energy. They can sense when someone is very bitter. They may also use their gift along with love to make healing delicious foods, drinks, or herbal medicines. I'm sure you've heard of the phrase "a way to a man's heart is through his stomach." That is one example of how impactful this gift is. Some may even use this gift to charm potential romantic partners.
