Teirm

Around 5 days after the last chapter.

Autumn gazed in awe at the huge city. Teirm was magnificent city, with large walls and oddly positioned houses. But even more captivating, was the sea. Autumn had never seen the sea before; and it was truly a sight to behold. A light fog was rolling off the gentle waves and she could hear the squawking of some kind of bird.

As she, Pharaoh and the elves approached the city the landscape began to change. The hills grew flatter and the foliage became thunner. Autumn's mind wandered. She thought about her future and also about flying. She hoped that one day Pharaoh would be big enough to fly on. By the speed he was growing she thought it wouldn't be long before it was possible.

Autumn was snapped out of her daydreams by Pharaoh sending her an image. It was of a boy, sat on a rock next to a waterfall. He had dark brown hair and turquoise eyes. The boy looked like he was a little younger than Autumn. The boy appeared to be clutching a stone. Then the image was gone, replaced by a picture of Pharaoh turning and flying towards her.

Soon enough the group arrived at the gates of Teirm.

"Who are you and what is your business in Teirm?"

Said a guard, blocking the path ahead.

"We are the egg couriers and the newest dragon rider." Said Yaela. Then she began to speak to Autumn, "Show him your hand, Autumn." She did as Yaela asked without question. The guard smiled and let them pass without any further questions.

Autumn glanced around. A small group of children fell silent when she walked past. They were staring at Pharaoh who proudly sauntered along beside Autumn, small head held high.

The elves stopped walking in front of a large square in the centre of Teirm. There was a small tent set up, and when Autumn glanced through the doorway, she saw many different rooms inside the tent.

To her surprise the elves turned towards the tent.

"You and Pharaoh stay here and settle in while we go and announce our presence to the lord of Teirm."

Autumn nodded and began to wander towards it. When she and Pharaoh entered she was surprised to find that there was a small room with some kind of basket and a small bed in it. The basket must be for Pharaoh she thought, approaching the bed. She sat down and groped with the void around her mind. Finding Pharaoh she began to talk with him in her mind.

She asked him about the boy he had seen and looked at the images he remembered. Just as she was about to stop her wordless talk with Pharaoh she heard a voice in her head. The voice was noble and deep. It said only one word:

"Autumn" Said Pharaoh.
