........

“One more!” I said.

“Fine, but just one because we already watched Titanic and Eclipse.”

“I still can’t believe you have Eclipse, you’re so weird,” I laughed.

“Hey! I told you Alex gave it to me as a joke,” he said. I was still laughing as he picked out the next movie.

“You wanna watch Paranormal Activity?” Kevin asked.

 “Sure,” I said.

(Sometime into the movie......)

I screamed and buried my face into Kevin’s shirt. He wrapped his arms around me as he laughed.

I looked up and hit him on his shoulder. “It’s not funny!” I said, but he kept on laughing.

“That scared the shit out of me!” I said.

“Don’t worry, I’m right here, if you need me,” he said. Our eyes met and I felt like melting. I turned my head and faced the TV screen. I felt his eyes on me, but I must just be imaging it. I barely noticed he still had his arms around me.

“Just focus on the screen,” I told myself in my head.

*KEVIN’S POV*

I looked down at Kate and saw her eyes closed. “Kate?” I said. She didn’t move and I turned off the TV.

She looked so perfect there in my arms. I leaned in a little closer.

What am I doing?

I backed my head away and stared at her. She turned around, still asleep, and put her arms around me.

My face went red and I laid my head down next to hers.

I shouldn’t be feeling this way, but I can’t help it. I like everything about her. Her eyes.

The way she smiles. How she’s always asking questions. How she lights up every time someone new comes into the room.

There are a million reasons why she makes me feel this way. “I just want to kiss her…just once,” I said to myself as I leaned in again.

But before I could place my lips on hers, there was a knock at the door. I sighed and gently took her arm off me.

Once I opened the door, one of the servants was there.

“What is it?” I asked annoyed.

“Um, Mr. Dawn has requested your presence,” she said nervously.

I sighed and said, “Okay, let me just put Kate in her room.”

“Would you like me to call some guards to help you?” she asked.

I shook my head, “its okay.”I picked up Kate bride style and was surprised that she didn’t way much.

The servant left as I walked into Kate’s room. I gently put Kate on her bed and took out a blanket from her closet and put it over her. “I’ll see you later Kate,” I said as I bent down and kissed her forehead.

*KATE’S POV*

I woke up the next day on my bed, with a blanket over me.

How did I get back in my room?

I must have woken up and walked back to my room.

I took a shower and got changed. My stomach growled so I walked into the kitchen and got some cereal and milk. The milk was ice-cold, just the way I like it.

“Hey,” I heard someone say. I looked up to see a really hot guy there.

“Um, hi,” I said and half smiled.

“I’m Nick,” he said.

“Kate,” I said. He nodded and walked over to me. “I work here as a servant, and you?” he asked. I looked at him a little confused.

“Why you wanna know?” I asked.

He laughed a little and said, “Because you’re too beautiful to not know me.”

I laughed and stood up with the bowl in my hand. “You’re cute,” I said and leaned in. He smirked and leaned in too.

But before he could kiss me I backed always and poured the cereal over him.

“But you’re not that cute,” I told him. He stood there with his mouth open.

“Better clean up,” I told him before leaving the kitchen.

I knew about type of guys like him. The types that get a new girl every week and just to use her for you know what.

I just wanted to make it clear that I wasn’t interested. It was too bad I had to get the point across differently. I just couldn’t stand those types.

A smile spread across my face as I walked to the backyard. His expression was pretty funny though.

You just couldn’t fake shock like that.

I laughed  and sat down on the grass.

What to do, what to do.

Then, an idea popped into my head.

~

He said his name was Nick.

I decided to ask around the girl servant and a couple guys about him. They had all said he was a player, and even Kevin knew.

“Kevin doesn’t have enough time to over look it though. I just feel sorry for the next girl Nick’s going to try and get,” one of the servant said.

“Tell me about it,” I mumbled. “I hear he’s going to go take Cynthia over there, to a fancy restaurant later,” she said, pointing her head at another servant.

“He’ll probably dump her in about a week,” she said. I looked over at her again. She was really pretty and had blond hair.

She was staring into space with a mop in her hand.

I felt sorry for her. She’s probably thinking about Nick.

I saw her whisperer Nick’s name.

I was right.
