chapter four

*ALEX’S POV*

We went into his office and I sat down on a chair.

 “Why did you bring her here?” I asked.

 “Because she was starting to wonder about vampires,” he told me.

 “You know it’s dangerous,” I said.

 “Yeah, but did you tell her about you being the black rabbit?” he asked.

 “Yes, and I told her I lived here, but I said it was because it’s safe here.”

“Okay, but don't say too much,” he told me. I sighed and said, “She seems like a good girl.”

He nodded.

“I wonder what your brother will do when he finds out you brought a girl home,” I laughed.

 “We can’t let him know,” he told me. I stood up and opened the door.

 “Sorry, I have to go…meet with someone,” I told him.

 “You wouldn’t. Come on Alex, don’t tell him,” he begged.

 I laughed and said, “Its black rabbit. You know to only call me that when in front of commoners.”

*KATE’S POV*

I woke up and realized it was morning.

I must have fallen asleep by accident.

I got off the bed and walked out into the hallway, to look for Kevin.

“You’re awake,” someone said.

 It was Kevin, and he was leaning against the door next to my room.

 “Your room?” I asked, pointing at the door.

 He nodded and said, “Were you looking for me?”

“Can I have some clothes or something?” I asked.

Since I usually took showers at night, I felt 'icky' since I hadn't yesterday.

 “Sure, but I hope you don’t mind if it’s mine.”

“It doesn’t matter,” I said. He went into his room, and came out with some clothes balled up. He tossed them to me and I went in my own room to take a shower.

 After I was done, the cloths were a little big on me, but not too big. I guess I never noticed Kevin was so skinny. The clothes smelled just like him, which was a good thing.

Once in the kitchen, I decided to eat some fruit.

“Hey there, what are you eating?” Kevin asked as he came in.

 “Just some fruit,” I told him.

“Where’s Alex?” I asked.

 He didn’t answer for a minute and then said, “Um, I think he went somewhere. Anyways, do you want some eggs?”I nodded, as he took out a carton of eggs to make them.

“Oh my gosh! I forgot about John!” I exclaimed, dropping my apple.

I got up and Kevin asked, “Whose John?”

I started getting nervous.

 John must be furious!

 “H-He’s my father,” I said.

“I need you to take me home, like right now!” I yelled. I was thinking of what he would do when I got there.

“Okay! Relax, I’ll take you home.”I ran out to the front and waited for Kevin to come. A car pulled up and Kevin came out of the house. I ran up to the car and got in. Kevin got in after and asked the driver to take me home.
