*KEVIN’S POV*
“Calm down Kevin!” Nick told me.
“How the hell am I supposed to calm down?! What about you anyways? You’re her boyfriend,” I said the last part more quiet.
“Are you an idiot?” he said.
“Kate and I we just pretending to go out to make you mad, can’t you see how she really feels about you?” he said.
Nick and Kate were just pretending to go out?
I felt relieved that they were just pretending to, but then I remembered the last part.
“Wait, what do you mean by how she feels?” I asked.
“You’re so stupid man. Don’t you notice the way she looks at you? She talks about you all the time. ‘Kevin works so hard’ ‘Kevin’s really trying his best’ that’s what she always tells me.”
Kate talks about me?
I guess I never really thought she might have feelings for me too.
But maybe she just thinks I’m a hard worker, and that’s it.
But right now, I have to find Kate.
“Sir, someone’s calling,” a servant came from behind me.
“I’m busy; just tell them I’m in a meeting.”
“I really think you should take it. They mentioned someone by the name of Kate.”
I quickly turned around and took the phone out of the servant’s hand.
“Hello?”
“You must be Kevin. I’m going to make this clear. I have Kate and if you don’t come I’m going to kill her,” the voice told me. It sounded like a man.
“How do I know if you’re telling the truth?” I asked.
“I’ll let you hear her then,” he told me.
“Kevin! Don’t worry about me, don’t c-” Kate got caught off by the other person.
“Now, do you believe me?”
I clenched my fists.
“Where exactly am I supposed to meet you?”
*KATE’S POV*
I tried to get out his grip as I yelled.
“Don’t come Kevin!”
I just hoped Kevin would be able to hear me and decide not to show up.
“Don’t-”
He put his hand over my mouth before I could continue.
Ewwww!
Who knows what he’s been doing with his hand?
I really hated when people touched me.
For all I knew, they could have went to the bathroom (and I’m not talking about peeing) and not washed their hands.
My head swung left to right, trying to get his hand off my mouth.
“Mmh mm mmmh mmm!”
“So you better be there, or else she dies,” Adam said into the phone.
I tried to tell the guy to get his hand off again, but it just sounded like a little girl screaming into her pillow because her parents said no to something.
Adam closed his phone and looked back at me.
“Let her go,” he ordered him.
The guy released him grip on me and stood straight.
