I can't help loving you

chapter twenty- six

It was my first time seeing the king (Kevin’s dad) and what made it even worse was that he asked to see me; I had no prior knowledge of meeting him.

He sat in one of the two large brown chairs that were placed in the middle of the room.

An older version of Kevin sat before me. His black hair swept neatly across his head as his red eyes stared into my brown ones. If only he had brown hair, he would’ve looked like Kevin’s exact twin.

“You must be Kate,” he forced a smile as he stood from his spot.

“The white rabbit,” he continued, pacing around me, making me nervous.

“You know I’ve spent a great deal of money and time just to find you Kate. I’m really happy to finally have you here; you have no idea how important you are to the vampire world.”

I smiled back.

“It’s an honor to meet you sir.”

“The honor is all mines dear. Actually, I was hoping to get to speak with you somewhere else.”

“Where did you have in mind?” I asked.

His red eyes darkened as he stepped closer to the door.

“I wanted to take you out and show you a little more about your White Rabbit abilities.”

“Abilities?” confusion could be heard through my voice.

His smile grew as he gestured for me out the door.

I went out and followed as he went outside.

“The books here just barley say anything about the very impressive powers you have within yourself as the White Rabbit Kate. I wanted you to meet a friend of mines that could help you reach your full potential as the White Rabbit.”

My full potential? There was more information I didn’t know about? And how did he know in the first place that I read the books in the library?

He took me to the entrance where a dark blue Porsche was parked outside.

 Mr. Brook opened the door for me and I got in without hesitation. My plan was just to be as polite and obedient as I could be to the King. He’s the king for crying out loud, I was gunna try my best to make a good impression.

“What other abilities do I have besides giving people immortality and a special power?” I shifted awkwardly in the seat as he sat across from me, just smiling.

“You mean besides being able to read people’s feelings?”

I opened my mouth in shock.

“H-How did you know about that? I haven’t even told anyone,” I was bewildered by how he could know of such a thing. But then again, the vampire world is something I know nothing about. For all I know, he could have been watching my every step since I was born. He was a king of vampires and seemed very hard working.
