Deans POV

"He killed his own mother?" I feel my heart rip as I ask this question. My mate nods and I look up and meet Kai's eyes . He sends a sad smile as he cuddles with Arrio. We went to the office to hear the rest of the story in case anyone was eavesdropping. And on the way we bumped into Arrio and red eyed Kai, so they just followed us as I caught them up.

"Yes" my mate moves a strand of hair out of my face. "his supposed mother had convinced him that his real mother was the reason behind why they were abandoned." I crunch up my face at this.

"But I'm confused still." Dana leans over the table "Why did Benoni still care for his son after that?"

I was about to ask that" Remus says . I nod as well.

"I guess he felt at fault. He never told him the truth and he was at fault for separating them and I guess technically for his murder."

"Why did he separate them?" Arrio asks after kissing Kai on the cheek.

"She was human"  he answered "something about young vampires being dangerous because they don't know how to control their thirst."That's pretty scary to be honest. I know there's been stories of new ones going on rampage but those are ones that were humans before. I didn't know it would be the same for ones that are born that way. My mate sighs and shrugs "I don't know why they were searching for this kid but because of that fiasco, elder Gabriel found out that his supposed mother was a fake and he killed his own blood."

"How could a search for a kid help him figure out the truth?" Kai asks, clutching unto Arrios forearm.

"I guess by killing his mother he gave his father a second chance mate. . That's what Ryan's son showed him anyways. I'm not sure of what exactly he saw but after that vision he teamed up with Hennessy to lock up his father." If he already didn't like her then why?

"Ryan.." I hear Kai mumble to himself.

I look at my mate and watch as he stares at  my Luna . He's about to say something when a knock interrupts, "Alpha" Lieser voice is heard. "We're ready."

"Alright" mate answers "I'll be back. I need to deal with some pack members." He walks out but not before kissing my cheek.

After a few minutes Arrio talks "We need to go back home and try to find more research." He rubs his temples and sighs "Kai" he looks at him "You know Ryan . Don't you?" Kai avoids his eyes and shake his head. "Kai." Arrio pleads.

Kai sighs and looks up "I don't know him. I just know about him" Arrio nods and kisses Kai's cheek again. "From what I've seen" he mumbles. I don't know what he meant from that and so it stays silent for a whole minute before I decide to cut the tension.

"Are we planning on telling Isaiah about you?" I feel wrong keeping this from my own mate but I also feel wrong telling Kai's secret.

"You can" Kai smiles at me "it's ok . He's family now. He needs to know everything ."

"But Kai the less people that know the better." Arrio argues as he hugs Kai tightly.

"Oh come on, he obviously doesn't have friends. Who's he gonna tell" gosh dang it Kai . I laugh with everyone. "Seriously tho, I trust him , you can tell him I'm that kid. My memory is a bit fucked up at the moment but I'll try and remember what I can and write it down. Maybe I have some memories that can help." He smiles softly.

"Are more coming back?" Dana asks.

"Yeah" Kai answers. "Weird ones. Some of them don't make sense to be honest."

"What do you mean?" I ask

"Like I don't know why they are there in the first place I guess." He holds his head "because I don't have enough information in my memories, they just don't add up. I just don't get why certain events took place when I don't even know these places or even the people." He shakes his head "does that even make sense?" He questions and leans more into Arrio who kisses him again.

"Patience, it'll all make sense some day." he tells him then looks back at me "we'll gonna go pack, let us know when Isaiah is back from his meeting." Arrio says as he stands with Kai and takes His  hand. Dana follows . I sigh and head to the bedroom . Once there, I plop myself unto the bed.

I still can't get my mind off that story. A human Mate, Remus. It's hard enough for us werewolves but imagine a vampire.

Hmm aren't vampires polygamous? Why would they give them a mate to begin with?

Everyone deserves happiness Remus. They live the longest so I guess it makes sense for them to have lots of partners... I wonder how that story went. How he met her and how he got her to fall in love with him ... well if he was able to anyways. I don't know much about vampires except for a few thing I read on them .I can't remember exactly but once I read that a rejection does not kill them, instead it can make them stronger. I'll have to look for that book again cause I don't really get how that would happen.

I can't even imagine how he felt when he found out that he murdered his own mother. I don't really get the reason why too. That's just weird to kill someone because of them getting more attention.I mean aren't vampires used to that at the least. I slowly close my eyes as i begin to snooze.

"My love" A smile appears on my face when I hear this "wake up sweetheart."  However I groan to that comment.

"Dean we're leaving" my eyes fly open and I sit up  to see Arrio carrying a suitcase and Kai carrying books. Kai doesn't read tho...

"I see that look Deany." Kai fakes a glare . I get up . I forgot to pack so I quickly go and begin to gather my things. "Are you not staying?" Kai asks. I stop completely dropping some of my clothes.

I look at my mate who looks sad and it tears at my heart. I then look back at Arrio and Kai "I-I didn't know that I was allowed to. I thought you guys needed me back". Kai puts the books down and walks up to me , giving me a big hug .

"You are always needed Dean,, however I believe your mate needs you more then us." He let's go and smiles at me with watery eyes. "Ughh sorry , I don't know why I keep crying lately." He pats my cheek and walks back to his books then Arrio.

"Wait.. does that mean I'm not going back at all?" I ask, confused with this whole situation.

"Oh!" Arrio laughs "no you'll be heading back in a few days" oh my god. I let a breathe out at that.

"Oh goddess. " I chuckle "just by the way Kai said it , I thought you guys were like leaving me".

"Ughhh I'm sorry! " Kai covers his blushed cheeks. "It was the tears! And don't say it like that! Ughh I'm just gonna head out. Bye Dean, and Alpha" he marches out. The whole time he spoke, tears kept falling down. Dana hugs me and says her goodbyes before chasing after our Luna.

I look At Arrio and he just smiles "Kai's having trouble with controlling his emotions."he claps his hands and continues" well thank you Isaiah for watching over my beta" he shakes his hand  then goes up to me and hugs me "enjoy your time here Dean. Take advantage of every second." He let's go and walks out waving away. "Oh! Isaiah will tell you the rest but just remember our secret spot." He walks out and closes the door.

I look at my mate with a raised eyebrow "so what's he talking about" he comes to lay on the bed as he pulls me down with him.

"I need your packs help with keeping a few of my members safe. We're going to sneak them out of here" .
