Living my life in New York has surely been a blessing to me. Sometimes I even regret moving to New York but you gotta do what you gotta do for the greater good, right? Or at least that's what I've been told.

I'm now working at a garage and what? I love it. I do get paid a lot that's for sure but the rip offs we give are a no go. One day, I'll be able to work in my own garage, fix other peoples cars without giving them a rip off. Angel by Shaggy was playing in the background. The good thing about New York is that they have real good taste in music.

'Girl you're my friend when I'm in need lady' I rolled under the car and looked at what needed to be fixed.

I was fixing a car that needed a real good repair. "Life is one big party when you're still young but who's gonna have your back when it's all done" I sang along with the lyrics.

Thinking about the time I had a REAL family. A family that takes care of me. Talking about the past, I cannot believe after running away has brought me here. Turning 28 next month and I gotta say, I'm getting old.

I rolled out from under the car and stood up. I exhaled. Wiping my hands on a towel nearby. "Yo, Em!" Dan yelled out. "Yeah?" I yelled back. "You got a phone call!" He shouted as I walked towards him. No one calls me, ever. Unless...

"Thanks Dan" I said as I picked up the phone and held it to my ear. "Hello?" I answered.

"Emma-Brook O'Connor" A familiar voice spoke as I quickly noticed who it was.

Dominic Toretto.

"Never thought I'd get a call from the one and only, big time street racer" I smiled.

"I need your help in Rio, how fast can you get here?" He asked. "Give me a couple of days and I'll be there. Why? What's up?" I asked. "I'll tell you when you get here" he spoke. "Alright, bye Dom" and with that I ended the call. I wrote on a piece of paper 'something came up, family occasion. won't be here for a couple of weeks. I'll be back as soon as possible'

I grabbed my bag and left.
