I walked towards my car and hopped in. I drove towards an empty garage thinking nobody would've used it. I hopped out and popped the hood. "Alright, let's give you an upgrade" I said but as soon as I said that, someone waltzed in. "Em?" Someone called out. "Tej? What are you doing here?" I asked him. 

"I just came here to check on you" He said as he looked at my engine. I was confused at why he would be checking in on me but also flattered because I kinda like him. "Thanks, Parker" I said with a smile. "Tej, call me Tej" He said. "Okay... Tej" I said. 

"You have got a beautiful car, O'Connor" He said as he examined my car. "Thanks Tej" I said. I just said Thanks twice, I gotta switch the subject. "Where are you from?" I asked him. "Miami" He spoke as I smiled. I've always wanted to live in Miami but New York has always been my No. 1 fav. "Nice" I smiled. 

"You got a boyfriend?" Tej asked me. I was shocked. "What?" I said so quietly. I was speechless. "Do you have a boyfriend?" Tej smiled. "Uh... no. No I do not... have a boyfriend. Why's that?" I asked him. "Just a question" Tej shrugged and then nodded his head. I chuckled as I continued to work on my car.

"You got a girlfriend?" I asked him... I mean since he asked me. I gotta be curious. I stood up and wiped my hands on the towel nearby. "No, I do not have a girlfriend. Why's that?" He asked with a smile. 

"Just a question" I smiled. I closed my hood,

"We're gonna play that game, O'Connor?" He teased. He then sat on my car. "I don't know what game you're talking about, Parker?" I said as he used my last name. I stood in front of him. "Oh I'm sure you know" He said as he put his hands on my waist. My hands on his shoulders.

"Dork" I laughed. 

"Is that right?" He said as he kissed me. 

I broke the kiss. "Tej, we gotta keep it on the low. If Brian and Dom find out, you're a dead man" I spoke. "Got it, baby" He smiled as I smiled too.

BACK AT THE OLD WAREHOUSE

"Let's see what they got" Gisele said as Brian pulled up in a new car. Damn, that's hot. Rome started laughing. "Really? Where did you get that from? Papa Smurf?" Roman teased. I just shook my head. 

"Okay, O'Connor. Give it your best shot" Dom said through the intercom. Brian started drifting around the 4 corners. I watched the cameras. I was impressed, he was actually doing great. "Damn, camera 4" I said as he got caught. 

Brian then got out of the car. "How was that?" He asked. "Camera caught you, Bri" I said. "What?" He was shocked. "Yeah it still caught you" Han said. "Man I was milking the hell out of that thing too" Brian said as he walked towards us. 

"We're gonna need a faster car" Dom said.

THE NEXT DAY

Dom got us a new car. More faster, more better. Rico had a turn, he actually was doing amazing but camera 3 caught him. "I want my money. Come on, man" Tej exclaimed as he drifted passed the cameras but still caught him. 

It was Tego's turn. Doing so well but it still caught him. 

"Yeah let's get it! Watch this!" Roman yelled as he drove passed the cameras, still doing a great job but camera 4 caught him. They all went again, again and again. Still the same results. Rico went again and he bumped into a pole. "That's exactly why your ass ain't been driving" Roman teased and yet here I am still laughing at how Rico bumped into the pole whilst drifting. 

It was now Gisele's turn. "Damn" I said as she drifted perfectly around the corners. I looked at Han. "I think I'm in love" He said as I patted his back whilst laughing. "That was real solid work" Roman said as Gisele got out of the car. 

"But I think camera 3 still caught you though" Roman continued. "Em, wanna give it a go?" Dom asked me. I was shocked, I haven't drifted in a while. I looked at Bri. He gave me the 'you got this' look. "Uh sure" I said as Gisele handed me the keys. I looked at Brian again. "You got this sis" He winked at me. "Haven't drifted in a while" I laughed as I got in.

"Whenever you're ready, mini O'Connor" Dom said through the intercom. I laughed at the nickname. I slammed my foot on the accelerator, almost getting me winded. "Holy shit" I said as I made a hard right turn, another hard right. Drifted past camera 3 and drifted again past camera 4. I parked the car and got out. "How was that?" I asked. 

"Better than Brian" Roman teased. "Camera 3 caught you by just an inch" Tej smiled at me and I smiled back. Not knowing that Brian quickly saw what had just happened between the two.

THE NEXT HOUR

"That's the piggy bank you ordered" Tego said with a big smile on his face. The fake vault looked like an actual fucking vault. It was fucking massive. "You're kidding me" Tej said. "Yep" Roman said as he cut the plastic around the fake vault. 

"Where in the hell did ya'll get one of these?" I asked. "Well we had a life before you met us" Han told me as I scoffed. "All right, I'll get to work on the electronic tumbler but there's still another problem" Tej said. I noticed. "Palm scanner" I interrupted. I could see in the corner of my eye, Tej smirking at me. "And without Reyes's handprint. Houdini himself couldn't open this bitch" Tej said. 

"How do you know it's Reyes's handprint?" Tego asked. "You got $100 million dollars in a safe and you're gonna put somebody else's handprint on it?" Tej answered. "Eres realmente tan estúpida?" I spoke in Spanish. (Are you really that stupid?)

"Oye, la chica blanca puede hablar español!" Tego exclaimed. (Hey, the white chick can speak Spanish!)

"bueno no mierda" Rico said. (Well no shit)

"Now there you go with that negativity man" Tego said in English. "That shit is eating you alive" I said as I agreed with Tego. "You check that" Tego said. "si revisa eso" I said agreeing with Tego again. (Yeah check that)

"emma calla" Tego said as I was in shock. Tego told me to shut up. "Perra, no me digas que me calle. Te callaste, estaba de acuerdo contigo" I said as I snapped at him. (Bitch, don't tell me to shut up. You shut up, I was agreeing with you)

"See, now you're getting all the negativity" I told Tego in English. "Lástima" Rico said. (Shame) I laughed as I fist-bumped him. Everyone around us laughed at the situation."How are we supposed to get Reyes's handprint?" Roman asked. 

"Han, you're up" Dom said. "Sure. Nothing like the easy stuff" Han said as he walked away. "Let's go. I'll drive" Gisele said as she walked with me. Dom looked at them as they walked away and smirked. I smiled.
