EMMA-BROOK O'CONNOR

"Go get Daddy!"

Mia told Jack, I missed this. Family. It always felt amazing. Jack ran towards Brian and Brian picked him up. "Yeah, buddy" Brian smiled. "Duty calls" Dom smiled. Brian stood up and took Jack. "Let's get Mama"

We all sat on the sand, watching Brian, Mia and Jack. This is what Brian needed, where he was meant to be all this time. "Emma, we need to talk" Dom spoke as he stood up and walked away from the group. Great, this is when I get in trouble. "What's up, Dom?" I spoke.

"I told you to stay, didn't I?" He asked. "Yes you did but- Then why on earth would you follow Hobbs?" He cut me off. "Because..." I sighed and looked to the ground. "Look at me when I'm talking to you, because of what Em?" He pointed at me.

"Because when you said that if all of you would die, you wanted at least one person from the group to live. I'm going to be honest with you Dom, I don't know if I can live without any of you guys here with me. This group is the only family I have left and I wasn't ready to lose any of it"

"Come here" Dom grabbed my shoulder and hugged me. "I'm sorry" He apologised. "Just promise me that you won't try to drive into a helicopter next time" I looked at him. He laughs.

"I promise" He had his arm around my shoulder as we walked back to the group.

Roman kept rambling on about the mission. I nudged him. "Why are you nudging me for?" He asked. "Close your mouth for two seconds" I looked at him and then pointed at Brian. "Just open your eyes, man"

"Beautiful" Roman spoke, he was about to get all teary. "That's where he belongs" Letty nodded.

"Home"

"Where he's always belonged" I spoke and smiled. "Things are gonna be different now" Roman chuckles. Dom then stood up and began to walk away. "You aren't going to say goodbye?" Ramsey asked. Dom stopped and looked at Brian.

"It's never goodbye"

Dom then continued to walk away. I then realised, I had to get back to work. I forgot about reality so I began to walk away. "Leaving so soon?" Letty asked me. I sighed. "He's my brother, he knows where to find me"

"He always does" I walked away and drove back home. On the drive home, I got a phone call. "Hello?" I answered. "Hey thought you could leave without saying goodbye?"

Brian.

Dom had this saying. "I used to say I lived my life a quarter mile at a time and I think that's why we were brothers because you did too. No matter where you are, whether it's a quarter mile away or halfway across the world, you'll always be with me and you'll always be my brother"

you'll always be my sister
and you'll always be my brother...
