"So...uhm..." Fiona started as she tried to change the subject to lighten the tension around them. "And what of my groom-to-be? Lord Farquaad what's he like? Does he have a handsome first knight for my sister?" (y/n) scoffed and rolled her eyes.

"Just...just keep me out of this please." Fiona rolled her eyes before looking towards the side while her sister shook her head and continued to look down.

Jack frowned as he took short glances at her before looking back toward the road ahead. Figuring out the right words to say in his head, he let out an exhale from his nose and smiled.

"You know for what it's worth, any guy would be lucky to marry you." The female raised her head slightly and looked towards him with a small blush.

"Thank you. But I don't think I'm getting married anytime soon, I'm a forgotten princess."

"Doesn't make you any less beautiful." The females face turned a beet red causing her to immediately turn away from him. Jack blushed at what he said and also looked away to the side.

Fiona paused and slightly narrowed her eyes at the two causing Shrek to take notice and smirk evilly.

"Well, If you want to hear about you're sister's groom so badly." He dropped the redhead towards the ground causing her to yelp and groan in pain as she rubbed her bottom softly.

"Men of Farquaad's stature are in...short supply." He laughed loudly before turning towards the side and made his way towards a small clear lake before bending down to wash his face while Jack let the female down his shoulder softly.

"Oh no Shrek, there are those who think little of him." Donkey replied making Shrek rinse his face off before laughing loudly with Jack snorting behind them as he made his way over to wash his face as well. Hearing enough of the jokes, Fiona grew upset and stomped her foot onto the ground.

"Stop it! Both of you! You know you're just jealous that you could measure up to a great ruler like Lord Farquaad."

"His name sounds like Fuckwad to me." The female mumbled as she fixed her purple dress, causing Jack to let out a small laugh as he heard her while Fiona slightly glared.

"Well, princess." Shrek started with a smile as he walked towards Fiona. "Maybe you're right. But I'll let you do the measuring when you see him tomorrow."

"Tomorrow?!" Both females exclaimed as they turned around to see the setting sun in the distance. They both gulped before giving each other worried glances.

"It'll take that long?" The redhead spoke nervously causing the men to pause as they started to walk and turn around. "Shouldn't we stop to make camp?" Shrek sighed and turned to face her.

"No, that'll take longer. We can keep going."

"B-But there's...robbers in the woods!"

"Whoa!" Donkey yelled as he jumped to a complete stop. "Time out ya'll, camping's definitely starting to sound good right now."

"Oh come on! I'm scarier than anything we're gonna see in this forest."

"B-But There's also dangerous animals out here!" (y/n) exclaimed causing Jack to smile and place his hand atop her shoulder.
