The Real You

"(y/n)!" The male cried as he fell onto his knees, with the female grunting in pain. Maxem grunted and raised his sword again, not noticing Shrek next to him, sending a powerful blow to the side of his head, causing him to grunt and fall toward the center of the stage. 

He groaned and slowly got up. He growled and held up his sword, but before he could take off and swing, he was eaten alive by Dragon. Shrek glared as he watched the man get devoured before turning around and frowning as he saw Jack crying with the female in his arms. 

"I-I'm sorry, this is all my fault! I-I should have- please don't leave me." She slowly placed her fingers on his lips and shook her head. 

"Jack, this is not your fault." He whimpered, grabbed her hand, and placed a couple of soft kisses onto it. "Jack, can you do one thing for me?"

"Anything." He whispered. 

"Kiss me so I can leave knowing I have found my true love." Jack closed his eyes and nodded, allowing his tears to fall from his eyes and drip onto her cheeks. He sniffed and lovingly touched her cheek before bringing his head down. He softly pressed his lips against hers, pouring his love into her. 

Fiona watched sadly before turning into Shrek's arms and crying, causing him to sigh and hug her sadly. Donkey and Dragon looked down sadly as they started to mourn the loss of their friend. 

Jack pulled away and sighed before slowly opening his eyes, only to gasp as the female started to glow a bright golden light. Everyone gasped, and Fiona turned around with wide eyes. 

Jack watched as the female slowly levitated, leaving his arms softly as she flew higher and higher into the air. Everyone watched in amazement as the female's body started to move straight before her hands, feet, and eyes shined brightly, causing everyone to cover their eyes. 

Soon, the light died down, and her body slowly fell back down till she landed safely back in the male's arms. Jack quickly looked towards the cut on her stomach, seeing the amount was now gone. He watched her with anticipated eyes, waiting for a slight twitch in her closed eyes or an exhale from her nose. 

She soon grunted and squinted her eyes before fluttering them open. She shifted her gaze towards Jack, who stared at her with happiness. She groaned before lifting her hand into the air and looking towards it, still seeing thick green fingers. 

"I-I don't understand...the kiss...I'm supposed to be beautiful." He chuckled and placed his hand against hers, intertwining their fingers together. 

"Princess, you are beautiful." She smiled and broke out into a giggle before smirking at him. 

"I believe you kissed me." 

"I did." 

"Do it again." He chuckled and brought her face closer before planting his lips against hers, causing everyone to cheer. Shrek smiled and twirled Fiona around before planting a kiss on her lips. 

"Hey!" Donkey screamed, catching everyone's attention. "Last time I checked, this was a double wedding!" 

(y/n) smiled widely as she stood in front of Jack at the altar. He smiled back at her as he held both of her hands. Behind Jack was Shrek, who stood before Fiona, also holding her hands in his. 

"By the power vested in me, I pronounce you husbands' wives. You may now kiss the brides."  Shrek and Fiona smiled before cutely kissing each other while Jack placed his hands on (y/n)'s waist and spun her down before kissing her passionately. Both pulled away before running down the altar and through the flowery pathway in the forest while everyone applauded.
