2:56, Sunday
Today is the first day of October, meaning it's about prime time for quidditch season. Quidditch becomes busiest during late September/early October, so I've been busy going to the games, cheering on Dean, Ginny, and Harry, along with the other Gryffindors. I know I'm not supposed to, but sometimes I cheer for the opposing teams too. We are all a part of the same school, the same sport, anyways.
So thats where I was today, sitting with Hermione and Ron, with Neville and Seamus at a quidditch game. It was getting a bit chillier out, and I was shivering, having forgotten a jumper.
"Lo, your freezing."
"What?" I scoff. "Thats silly, I'm fine, really."
"No ur not, here," he says, as he hands me his jumper, "take this."
"Thank you, Nev," I say, as I slip it on. It fits a little big on me, feeling comfortable. I instantly feel better. Maybe it was because I was warmer, or maybe because it was Neville's jumper I was wearing, I don't know.
Anyways, I tried to push the thought out of my head as the game continued.
Gryffindor won a point, helped by Ginny, so the Gryffindor stands went wild.
"Go Ginny!" I yell, supporting my best friend. It was so cool that she was doing quidditch, and I couldn't wait to play tennis with her I'm the fall.
As I was sitting, observing the game, I noticed Theo looking me up and down from the Slytherin stands.
What did he want from me?
He probably wanted money or something. Yeah, that's probably what it is. Why else would he be looking at me? I don't think I'm anything special.
As I pondered over this, another roar of cheers erupted from the Gryffindor stands. I turn to Neville and Seamus.
"What happened?" I ask.
"Wouldn't you like to know, you busy flirting with Nott over there?" Seamus teases.
I become flustered, but not with a scarlet blush of nervousness. I Look over to Neville, who stays quiet. What was up with him? Did I do something? Did he want his jumper back?
"N-no, it's not like that. I don't know why he's looking at me like that," I confide into them, causing Seamus to laugh.
"It's because he fancies you, Potter!"
I shift in my seat. There was no way. Didn't his family hate the Potters? I mean the Malfoy's did. Oh my gosh, I shouldn't be making assumptions about the Slytherins, thinking they're all the same.
"Really?" I ask.
It was flattering, thinking he liked me, but he wasn't the one I wanted attention from. The thing is, I didn't really know who I wanted the attention from. It was like I had a specific person in my mind, but my logic was shoving it to the back of my brain whim my heart tried to pull it forward. Tug of war in my brain.
I Look back at the Slytherin Stands, noticing Theo analyzing the game, not paying any attention to me. Yeah, he didn't like me.
