"I'm tired." I told Matty truthfully as we walked down my road to the nearest bus stop. He was taking me to one of his band's gigs, apparently. I wasn't exactly looking forward to it, but after two days of ignoring his calls and texts, I felt like I owed it to him really.
The truth was, I really liked Matty. It was kind of unhealthy, but I kind of wanted to push him up against a wall every time I saw him, however, I simply couldn't afford to be with him. I had to look after two people and myself, and I definitely didn't have enough room for one more.
"You sure that's all?" He asked, taking my hand and squeezing it as we arrived at the bus stop. I frowned a little and pulled my hand away from his when I noticed an elderly couple sitting down on the bench next to us, glaring in our direction.
"Yeah." I mumbled quickly, feeling a little nauseous all of a sudden. I pulled my thick fleece jacket tighter around my body and stuffed my hands inside the pockets. I looked up at him and offered him a reassuring smile.
"Are you nervous?" I asked him, he shrugged.
"I guess so. It's quite a big show, y'know. About four hundred people, that's more than we've ever played in front of." He said. I chewed on my bottom lip and patted his shoulder firmly.
"You'll be great, as long as you don't fuck up." I said, laughing. He narrowed his eyes.
"Wow, you're great help." He elbowed my ribs, making me laugh and shove my shoulder into his arm, making him stumble backwards awkwardly. He grinned at me as he shoved his hands into the pockets of his coat.
"Sorry." I laughed quietly, peering out at the road in front of us as we waited for the number 23 bus to the gig.
"It's cool. We're cool." Matty said, leaning into me and pressing his lips to the top of my head. I frowned a little and pulled back from him.
"Sorry." He mumbled. I shook my head.
"We're cool."

Matty's POV
On the bus, she held my hand.
She stroked her thumb over my knuckles.
She even kissed me.
We must have looked so stupid, two teenagers making out on the backseat of the bus, but fuck, I loved it.
