Everything is Weird

Third p.o.v
Izuku, for once in his life, had a good night's rest, which means he had no nightmares that were in fact memories of his past. He woke up feeling a little bit better than normal, he felt weird but a good kind of weird. He wasn't necessarily happy, but it was a neutral emotion and his day hadn't been ruined yet, he hoped it stayed that way. Izuku sat at his desk, tinkering with an AI device that will, if it works, be able to access everything he owns and knows about, a computer system based on a device in the pre-quirk series Marvel. He worked diligently, basking in the silence of his apartment and the stray sun rays that would appear from the cracks in the curtains. Well, there was silence until his phone buzzed.

Shinsou - me

Purple: wanna hang out today?

Green: sure. Where at?

Purple: do you like cats?

Green: of course I do! How could anyone not.

Purple: ikr. There's a cat cafe I know that has a ton of cats

Purple: *location of cafe* what do you say about meeting there in an hour

Green: awesome, I'll be there.

Izuku began to get ready to leave and thought for a second.

Green: can I invite someone I know?

Purple: are they an okay person?

Izuku knew what Shinsou meant by that, and based on what Izuku knew about Hatsume Mei so far, yeah she was an okay person.

Green: yeah she does not discriminate. She invents stuff tho and sometimes forgets what personal space is, but if you tell her to back off she will.

Purple: okay then.

Hatsume - me

Broccoli: hey want to meet me and a friend of mine at a cat cafe today?

Milkyway: When and where?

Broccoli: an hour from now and at Everkitty cafe

Milkyway: I'll be there.

Shinsou - me

Green: my friend said she'd be there.

Purple: okay, I'll see you both later.

Green: see ya

Izuku was a little nervous to be going to meet with his friends? 'yeah', he thought, 'i have friends now'. He changed into some of his nicer clothes, clothes that weren't full of stains, grabbed some of his money, and then went outside. Since it wasn't hot out, he decided to parkour his way there until he got close to the building before dropping to street level and walking the rest of the way. Walking into the cafe and looking around the interior, he noticed that Mei was already sitting across from Shinsou and rambling away. Shinsou himself looked, well, I credibly dumbfounded and anxious. Izuku took pity on the purple haired boy and put Mei's attention on himself by asking about her "babies". He's still a little weirded out by her calling inventions babies, but he gets why she does it.

Shinsou was definitely relieved that Mei's attention was no longer on him and instead listened to the two geniuses talk in front of him, even though he hardly understood the mechanic/invention jargon (kinda like slang, that's an easy way to explain it) they were using. "U-umm would you kids like anything?" A waitress asked, slightly scared to interrupt the conversation between the pink and green haired children. Shinsou ordered a black coffee with just a bit of sugar in it. Izuku got a hot chocolate since drinking a coffee before his before-patrol-nap would not be a good idea. Mei got a bunch of sugar with a hint of coffee in it, which really was just a coffee with 5 spoons of sugar, 3 shots of espresso, and a bunch of creamer, and for some reason whip cream on the top. It was chaotic, like her.
