Rubbing my eyes, I rolled out of the bed I shared with my brothers. The giant sized king bed took up most of the wall on the far side of our room. I yawned as I wandered into the bathroom, taking care of my morning business before waking the other two. We were triplets, and the future Alpha’s of our pack. Checking the calendar, I groaned, today we had to meet with Mother and Father about who our mate was, as today was our twenty first birthdays.

“Jayden, Alex, it’s time to get up.” I said as I left the room to start putting together something for breakfast. Mother wanted us to use the Omegas in the pack to our advantage like they did, but all three of us felt like it was wrong. Our parents had Omegas to cook and clean in their home, but the moment we moved out and Mother had sent some to us, we dismissed them.

Jayden sleepily wandered into the kitchen, sitting at the island, visibly trying to not fall asleep. I was the oldest of us three, by only a couple minutes, but I definitely acted the oldest. I slid a stack of blueberry pancakes to Jayden and started working on a stack for Alex.

“Why must we be up so early?” He asked, yawning through the words. “It’s our birthday, we should be able to relax and sleep in for once.” Alex walked into the kitchen, plopping onto the stool next to Jayden and grunting to agree with him.

Chuckling I shook my head, finishing the stack of pancakes for Alex and sliding them to him, watching as he ripped into them. “I wish we could as well, but we have to meet with Mother and Father at noon. Besides, today we’ll be able to find our mate.” No one was sure about when on your twenty first that you start to be able to sense your mate, some believed it wouldn’t happen until the night, and some believed it was the moment you woke up.

Alex started to shake as he finished his food. “I can’t wait to meet her. The Goddess had to give us someone good and strong, right? You don’t think she’ll reject us, do you?” For a second he started to look really unsure.

“I’m sure she’ll love us as much as we’re going to love her.” I stated confidently. Wolf and Fox shifters had to wait until they were twenty one to be able to sense their mates, whereas Bird shifters only had to wait until they were eighteen. Someone said it was due to the fact that they usually had shorter lifespans. Although the one Dragon shifter in the pack said that they could sense their mates as early as seventeen. Lucky bastards, although our Dragon hadn’t found his mate yet and he was already twenty. Jayden and I were Wolf shifters, but Alex took after Mother and he was a Fox shifter. He’s been worried since he was little that whoever our mate was, that she wouldn’t want him. We shifted for the first time when we were eighteen, and our wolves loved his fox, just like we love him, so I told him not to worry.

“Do you think she’ll be a Wolf shifter, or maybe a Fox shifter like Alex?” Jayden pondered while I finally was able to eat. Honestly, it didn’t matter to me what she was, but we were all curious.

“I don’t care if she’s a Bird shifter, I’m going to love her no matter what.” Alex happily stated. We nodded in agreement to his statement and proceeded to get ready for the day.

“Guys I hate to say this, but what if we don’t find her?” Jayden asked quietly as we were heading out to the car. We all stopped and looked at one another.

“Our parents like Tisha. They’re most likely hoping that she is our mate and if not, then they are hoping we will take her as a chosen mate.” I said.

I hate Tisha, she’s annoying. Neptune growled, he paced in the back of my mind and plopped down.

“I really fucking hope that Tisha isn’t our mate.” Alex huffed, opening the back door of the car and getting in.
