"It's too quiet," you said as you landed next to Eros with Thena.
"Something doesn't feel right," Thena said and you nodded, knowing what she meant.
Druig, it might be a trap. You sent to him.
Be careful.
The asteroid was desolate save for a single dome. It filled you with sadness as you thought of the indigenous species that had once lived here. But they had been destroyed. And you, or others like you, had helped it happen. Earth may have looked like this if you hadn't stopped Tiamut.
You followed Thena and Eros into the dome, watching your surroundings. And in the center, were your friends, your family.
"Sersei!" You gasped as you ran forward. "Phastos! Kingo! You're here. We found you."
"Run," Sersei choked out.
"What?" you asked, not quite hearing her. They were on their knees, their hands bond in what looked like energy handcuffs.
"Y/N, wait," Thena called to you, looking around the empty dome. You stopped in your track and looked back at her. "Something's here."
"You need to get out of here," Phastos said.
"We're not leaving you," you looked around the dome, wondering what it was.
"That is your doom," a voice spoke out before you were sent flying back into Eros, knocking you both to the ground.
A silver figure materialized, and you stood, your hands conjuring the wind. "Who are you?" you asked. It looked like a man covered completely in silver standing on what seemed to be a surfboard.
"Your doom," he said. He put his hand out and the board soared at Thena. She flipped over it.
You sent a gust of wind, knocking him back. "Look, we just want our friends, we don't want a fight," you said.
"I have been placed here to guard your friends," he said as he shot energy lightning at you. You jumped out of the way. "You have upset the balance of the multiverse. Judgment must be passed."
"A fight it is then," Thena looked at you and you nodded, knowing what she wanted of you. It was countless centuries of fighting together. You waved your hands at her and threw her at the silver figure and a moment later, sent a fireball at him. But he put his hand up as she approached and her sword which was about to strike him vanished as your fireball went out before evening reaching him. He sent her flying back with a wave of his hand.
"So this isn't going well," you commented.
"You think?" Eros said.
"I will cut him down where he stands," Thena glared, conjuring another sword.
"Yes, because that worked so well last time," Eros rolled his eyes. "Maybe it's time to call your jealous boyfriend."
You nodded and sent a message to Druig. Change of plan. We need you. Unexpected complication.
We're on the way.
"Who is this guy anyway?" You looked at the man, standing completely still. With his entire body and face covered in silver, you couldn't even tell if he was looking at you. You had a feeling it wouldn't have mattered.
Makkari and Druig appeared next to you as Makkari sped them both in.
"Who's that?" Makkari signed.
"The unexpected complication," you told her. "Druig?"
He nodded and his eyes shone gold. You waited a moment and then two.
