It turned out Kingo's secret stash of Odin's brew remained intact and free from Eternity and Infinity's touch. The others were at the rooftop bar of the hotel celebrating the victory. But you had wanted a moment with Druig. You were standing at the balcony, staring down at the lively night life of the city, reveling in the fact that they didn't know how close they had come to annihilation again. Druig stood behind you, his arms around your waist as his chin rested on your shoulder.
"I can't believe I forgot this," he said, pressing a kiss against your neck.
"Me too," you said, resting back against him.
But I came back to you.
"You did in the end," you said softly, your voice full of regret.
"What is it, my love?" he asked you. Of course he knew you weren't okay. He always knew.
"Druig," you said, turning in his arms to look him in the eyes. "Can you forgive me for being weak? For doubting you, doubting us? There were moments I didn't know if you'd come back, if I could bring you back."
He was quiet for a moment as he took in your admission before pressing his forehead against yours. "I promised you once that I would never cause you doubt again, and I did. For that I am sorry."
"No," you put your hand on his cheek. "This isn't on you. It's on me. I wasn't strong enough."
"I didn't give you reason to believe it," he said. "It is my shoulder that weight sits on, not yours."
You sighed. "Do you think we will fail the test because I didn't believe?" This was the thing you needed to know, more than anything. Would your family, would Druig, be destroyed because you weren't strong enough in your faith?
He pressed a kiss to your forehead. "Whatever their judgment may be, I know I will love you for eternity. You will always be mine as I am yours. To my last breath, my beautiful Y/N, you will hold my heart."
"I love you too, forever," you said.
"Good," he smirked before leaning down to kiss your lips. You wrapped your arms around his neck as he pressed you back against the balcony, deepening the kiss.
"Druig, someone will see," you said when he moved his lips to your neck.
"Good," he said again, leaning back to look you in the eyes. "I want the world and the sky beyond to see how much I love you."
He turned you around, moving your hands to grip the bannister before he pulled the back of your dress up. "I've missed this," he said as he leaned forward over you, one hand wrapping around you to cup you, moving your panties out of the way. "You're going to be a good girl for me, aren't you, my beautiful Y/N? You're going to stand still and not make a sound, aren't you?"
"Druig," you whined. You could feel the warmth surround you. You'd been deprived of his touch for so long. He had been here and yet so far away. You craved his touch like you craved air.
He kissed your ear as his fingers found your clit. "I know, sweetheart, just let me enjoy this for a moment."
He rubbed at you as your grip on the bannister tightened. Heat paced through you, your head bowing as you let the sensation wash over you. It felt so good having him touch you again, feeling his wanton need for you. He pressed a kiss to your shoulder. "Let go, my love," he said as he pressed a finger into you, searching for the spot that would cause you to break.
It didn't take long for him to find it, he knew your body so well after all these centuries. You cried out as his thumb returned to your clit and his finger jabbed at the spot within you in simultaneous movements. His other arm wrapped around your waist, holding you to him as you broke over the abyss, cumming over his hand.
