you could try and take us but we're the gladiators

You felt his arms around you as you came to, an embrace you had grown to know so well you knew it was him before your eyes ever opened. "Druig," you managed to choke out.

His eyes were warm on yours, showing you a million emotions erupting in them. "My beautiful, beautiful Y/N," he said, his thumb grazing your lips before he leaned down to kiss you. You welcomed it, your hand coming up to hold his arm.

"Maybe you can save that for later," Phastos said. "When we're not all standing here feeling like we want to gauge our eyes out."

Druig took his time pulling away, smirking at Phastos as he helped you to your feet. "If you gauge your eyes out, it would make it much easier for me," he said.

There he was. You felt tears in your eyes as you looked him over, your hands touching his face. "It's you?" You asked quietly. "It's really you?"

"It's me, my love," he turned his head to kiss your palm. "I'm sorry it took me so long to come back to you."

You hugged him tightly, the emotion you felt incapable of putting into words. He was back. He had come back to you. You felt the light enter your universe again as everything fell back into place. You felt whole again. "I missed you," you said.

"As did I," he said.

"Okay but seriously, maybe we could focus here," Kingo said. "We still have a Deviant baddie to deal with. Maybe you could catch up with your cult leader later, Y/N."

"It wasn't a cult," Druig said as you looked around finally, remembering what had else happened.

"Where is Ghaur?" you asked, though you did not move from Druig's grasp.

"I portaled him to Saturn," Eros said.

"The Saturn that's still in our solar system?" You looked at him.

"It was the first place I could think of under pressure," Eros defended himself. "It'll buy us a few minutes at least."

"Not exactly a stellar performance of Plan Z," you smirked at him.

"Well Plan A wasn't all that great either," he shot back at you.

"So now instead of the gross display of PDA, we get to listen to this," Phastos rolled his eyes.

"Well now that the Dark One is back, the Uni-mind will work, right, boss?" Kingo asked.

"He'll be expecting it," you said. "He won't fall for it again."

"What should we do then?" Sersei asked.

"Do we just try to kill him instead of turning him to stone?" Makkari asked.

"Go for the head," Thena said casually.

You all looked at her. "Well you're not wrong just slightly terrifying," you said. "But we've been trying the attacking, and he just fends us off. Why is he so strong even without his staff?"

"He's taken powers from Eternals he's killed, remember?" Phastos said. "It must have been projected through the staff, but those powers are still in him. Who knows what else he can do."

"So basically it was nice knowing you guys," Kingo said. "At least we can die as us, I suppose." Makkari smacked his arm, hard. "Hey! No hitting."

"We're not dying," you glared at him. "We just need to figure out how to stall him long enough to connect to the Uni-mind. It should work now that Druig remembers."

"We tried to stall him, he bit you," Phastos reminded you.

"Can Darth Vader control him?" Kingo asked.
