Mehk didn't wake until the next day, carefully watched over by Itna. As he awoke, Itna was tending to the garden. Mehk walked over and sat next to her, "Hey." Itna nodded, but didn't say anything, as she was focused on caring for the plants. "I'm sorry about all that, earlier... How long was I out anyway?"

Itna rose, wiping off her hands and stretching, "Just a day, nothing too big."

Mehk nodded, leaning back against a tree. "What did I miss?"

Shrugging, Itna picked a strawberry off a bush, popping it into her mouth, "I just went on a run, swam, gardened, wrote. So, you didn't really miss much."

"Swam? Did you find a swimsuit?" He asked curiously.

Itna looked away, her face growing red, "Not exactly..."

Mehk sat up, intrigued, "Go on."

"Well, before you were here, there was nobody around for miles. I was practically free to do whatever I like without fear of consequence. That included being able to swim in my oasis..." She got quiet.

"Without an actual swimsuit..." Mehk thought back to his first day waking in the oasis, seeing Itna lying in the sand in her tubetop and underwear.

"Hey! Stop daydreaming!" She pushed him.

"What?" He said innocently, then changed the subject, getting a bit more serious, "So, while I was hazed, did I say anything?"

"You don't remember?" She tilted her head to the side, sitting down across from him.

He shook his head, "Not really. I remember running, pushing myself past my limit, then hitting the ground, then nothing."

"You had a dream, remember?" Mehk nodded. "Well, after I found you, you were talking about it. You said that you couldn't let it come true. That I couldn't get hurt, like the Melds..."

"Remember when I told you my name? How I said Mehk Traxson for short? There were others." Mehk sighed.

"So," Itna began cautiously, "What was the dream, anyway?"

"Oh, that? It was nothing." He tried to shrug it off.

"Mehk. Don't lie to me." Itna looked him in the eye.

"I'm not ly-" He started, trying his best to lie. "I'm telling the tr-" He struggled, looking back into her eyes. He shut his eyes, looking away, "I just don't want to talk about the other Melds... I hope they rest peacefully."

She nodded, "Okay..."
