Carly was waiting eagerly to hear how Griffin's and Sam's lunch went. She repeatedly checked her phone to see if she had a notification from either of them. About 10 minutes after Griffin dropped Sam off, Carly saw her phone light up. It was a text from Griffin. Her face was illuminated by the brightness of her Pear Phone and she navigated to her text message inbox. The text from Griffin read, "Hey babe, just got finished with Sam. It was a great conversation. I hope you hear her out, she's really sorry and misses you. I'm sure you'll hear from her soon. I'll see you tomorrow, love ya!"

Carly gave a smile as she read the message. She was happy that the lunch went well. She was open to hearing what Sam had to say to her, but she wasn't going to let Sam off the hook easily. Sam had crossed the line and it can't happen again. She was used to Sam pushing the envelope and letting her get away with things, but that was going to be no more. Carly wanted to set clear boundaries with Sam. It may not be the easiest conversation, but it would be necessary.

Carly waited and waited for Sam to reach out. A few hours had gone by since Griffin's update and still nothing from Sam. She hadn't come out of her room since she left Griffin's place. All she did was lay on her bed and wait for Sam to reach out. Eventually, she heard a knock on her door.

"Come in," Carly shouted from across her room. It was Spencer. He opened the door and stuck his head in.

"Hey Carly, you have someone here to see you." Spencer opened the door further and in came Freddie. "I'll leave you two alone."

Carly looked over at Freddie who clearly was feeling a bit uncomfortable. He had his hands clasped together.

"Why do you look so awkward," asked Carly. "I'm ready for your apology."

Freddie walked over and took a seat on the edge of Carly's bed. He gave a big sigh.

"I'm sorry about last night, Carly," said an apologetic Freddie. "I know I should have told you what Sam was doing, but I was in a tough spot. I didn't mean for the night to blow up like it did."

"Well, it did blow up," said Carly in a sassy tone while sitting up at the head of her bed.

"I know, it ruined a really good night," said Freddie. "I take responsibility for what happened. And I promise if Sam tells me about some crazy plan again, I'll make sure to tell you, no matter how many bones she threatens to break."

Carly chuckled as she looked down and twiddled her fingers. "It's alright Freddie, I forgive you," said Carly. "It wasn't your fault. I don't blame you for being scared that Sam would beat you to a pulp if you told me."

"I wouldn't say scared is the right word," said Freddie who was a bit embarrassed.

"Horrified?" asked Carly with a stern look.

"Yep, that's a bit better," said Freddie as they both laughed. "But what about iCarly? Were you serious when you said the future was up in the air?"

"In the moment, yeah, I was dead serious," said Carly. "How could the show go on if my two closest friends stabbed me in the back?"

Freddie looked guilty. "So, what are we going to do?"

Carly took a few moments to gather her thoughts. "I definitely want to continue iCarly," she expressed, "but Sam needs to own up to what she did. She has a lot of explaining to do and I haven't heard from her at all today."

Freddie assumed that Sam reached out to Griffin first because that's what he had suggested she do. He hadn't heard from Sam either, which got him a bit nervous. He wondered if Sam had actually gone through with apologizing to Griffin first, but Carly confirmed that Griffin went to lunch with her earlier in the day.
