Dawn came as quickly as night fell, it seemed, and my heart was racing with anticipation for the events scheduled. Though we had rehearsed it time and time again, something told me that being discovered would have dire consequences. It was not unusual for the Order to have a mandate away from the eyes of the Senate, but a seemingly infinite war tended to bring out the worst in people.

Leena had sensed my nerves all morning, gently reassuring me during our morning coffee escapade, but it was hard for me to understand how nonchalant she was about all of this.

As it would be, we found ourselves taking a rather extended walk this time of day, hoping we would reach our rendezvous point in the timing that we had allotted. Squadrons of young cadets were marching through the hallways per usual, occasionally stopping to greet the both os us, but the high activity had me on alert.

The Kaminoans were a peaceful species, but they would not take kindly to us tampering with their data. They held themselves and their work to the highest regard, an arrogance that was not to be looked over, and this breach, if uncovered, would not only offend them, but would lead to a course of action that would directly go to the Senate.

We chatted amongst ourselves, as normally as we could, to keep attention off of us. Even if we weren't doing anything suspicious, the mere presence of two Jedi Knights was enough to turn heads, especially for the younger clones who had yet to meet one.

"So, how about this weather we're having, huh?" I poked at Leena.

She rolled her eyes. "I think the weather has been the same here since this godforsaken planet came into existence."

"It's a joke, Leens. Lighten up."

"Sorry. I think your worry has started to rub off on me."

"Aw, don't go getting cold feet on me!" I pouted, looking at her with puppy dog eyes.

"You'll be the one with cold feet after I put my fist through that head of yours," she threatened, though her tone seemed more playful now.

I gasped. "I'm terrified! Oh, if only I had a lightsaber to defend myself with! Oh wait. I have two."

She nudged my arm, laughing lightly. "Shut up."

We rounded the corner that led to the medical bay, and our target was in sight, just at the end of the call. Master Ti had yet to call us, and I was slightly worried that she would not make it in time, but the empty hallway gave me a bout of reassurance.

We took a few more strides before our comm blinked.

"You're on the clock," Master Ti alerted. "Make it quick."

I took a brief moment to look over my shoulder before giving Leena the all clear nod. We slipped into the room, locking it behind us to ensure our security. I could only hope that no one would have the idea to check the room whilst we were occupying it.

A quick scan of the room showed that it was a standard level medical suite, with enough equipment to treat minor injuries, but nothing substantial enough for a full on procedure. The downside to that was that it was a place of more frequent use, but the upside was that it would never be urgently needed.

Leena had begun typing onto some sort of operating system by the time I had averted my gaze.

"I'll locate the file of the clone through this system. The wall to your right holds all the archive information that we need. Each slot is reserved for a different piece of data. As soon as you see one blink, insert the disc, and I'll download it," she explained.

I nodded. "Sounds simple enough."

"This isn't the hard part."

She was right about that. Though the disc could be easily concealed, the real problem arose upon our departure. If we were spotted, there would surely be questions asked. On the other hand, if Master Ti's intervention was discovered, that would lead to a whole other set of problems.
