Forrest, that's the only thing that's in my mind. Was it my name? Or is it something people call me, like a label?
That's the only thing I thought before my eyes were pushed open. I was coughing my lungs out, trying to grasp the little air I needed. It was almost like I was drowning, as I felt the perspiration drip off my forehead.
I felt weak but had enough strength to push myself onto my elbows. My vision was trying to stick together what was happening, yet, that was the problem. Wherever the hell I was, I could barely see anything! A small light would flash over occasionally, giving me a view of the area. The only thing I could pick up were these shapes.
I tried to use my hands to help me at least figure out where I am. Yet, a rustling sound echoed through my ears, alarming me something wasn't right. That's when I felt something odd. Whatever I was in, wherever the fuck I am, I was moving. Then it sped it, faster and faster! I tried to gather myself, forcing myself onto my feet. The speed of this, whatever it is, pushed me towards a wall. It felt less of a wall and more of a metal fence. Then it hit me, I'm in a cage like an animal!
"HEY!" I yelled, hoping someone would hear me, "ANYONE! HELP ME!!"
The box finally stopped. The force pushed me onto something hard, like something wooden. My legs were on the steel floor, while my body and arms were rested on the object. A red light took over the darkness, finally giving me a good look at where I was. I was right, I was in a cage! I found that I was on a wooden box, it had something written on it.
"W.C.K.D?" I read the letters. I looked at the boxes again, and it was written on all the boxes. "What the hell does that mean?"
An opening sound from above me brought me back to what was happening, bringing in a blinding light. I hid my face in the crook of my arm.
"The greenie's on the supply!" I heard a voice, it sounded like a male's voice.
"No klunk!" Another male voice yelled.
"Well someone get the greenie before he does something!" I heard someone command.
"I'll do it," I heard someone jump down. This guy seemed to have a different accent than the others. It sounded more like English.
I felt a pair of hands on my shoulders, pushing me off the box, back onto the steel floor. I looked up at the douche who pulled me. He had a pretty face, I'm not gonna lie. The guy had this dirty blonde hair and brown eyes that matched his face really well. The reaction I get from this guy was complete shock and confusion.
"It's a girl?!" He pointed out the obvious.
"What?"
"No way!"
My eyes moved up to see who was up there, and why I could only hear male voices? And yet, straight away after asking myself that, I get my answer. There was nothing but guys. They were all of different races and faces, no two were the slightest bit the same. Some of the boys had confused looks, while others had some weird looks.
"A girl, eh?"
"What? No!"
"She's hot!"
"It's probably just a really feminine guy?"
"I call dibs!"
"No one's calling dibs!"
"Would you all calm down?" I heard one strong voice command the others. This command came from one that seemed to be short, dark skin, almost bald. He must be the leader of these hormonal freaks.
I turned my attention back to the dirty blonde, "well are you gonna help me out of this cage or what?" I was kind of surprised at my own voice. It was almost like I never heard it before.
