INDIGO AND JULIE WALKED INTO the house quietly, putting down their bags.

"dad!" they both yelled, running and attacking their father.

"good you're home." he said laughing. "what's all this?" julie asked. looking at all the papers on the table.

"ah, just, you know, some stuff on other schools with music programs and... and some private lessons stuff." ray said. "i know it looks like a mess, but your dad's got this."

"well, luckily for you, we got back in at our school." indigo said walking towards the fridge.

"wait. wait, what? you're not joking me now?" ray said.

"we went down, we put on a show with some gho..." julie started.

"getters, go-getters!" indigo corrected.

"yea go-getters, and principal lessa let us back in."julie said smiling, and their father threw the papers up in the air. "yes! yes! oh! you're awesome."

ray picked up julie , swinging her side to side. "i am so happy for you. you are the best!" he said putting her down and crouching down at the papers.

"i got it. i got it."

julie and indigo crouched down on the floor, not going to let their dad clean up alone.

"the australian school of music"? that's halfway around the world!" indigo said reading one papers.

"i... i was gonna bring you home for christmas." their dad said.

indigo shook her head, putting her paper on her dads chest, "hey, you rock. both of you!" he said as indigo went towards the front door.

indigo walked out to the garage, and opened it to see reggie and luke who were playing their guitars.

"guys, you aren't supposed to be out here playing alone."

"but we're not alone, 'cause we always have each other." reggie said putting his arm around luke.

indigo scoffed pulling out the speaker. "but...but we had the volume level on one." reggie said sadly."

"buttt we rocked it on volume ten. you want us to play it again?" reggie asked as indigo pulled out lukes guitar from the speaker.

"i really don't think she does."

"no..."

"we've actually been waiting for you to get home." luke said, as both boys were grinning ear to ear.

"okay, so we have some pretty major news to tell you. we had a band meeting earlier, and..."

reggie did a drumroll on his legs, "we wanna invite you and julie to join sunset curve. and no, you're not dreaming." luke said smiling.

"oh..." indigo said awakwardly, "oh uh...oh." she laughed, "oh."

"that's what you say when you get socks on your birthday, not when invited to join the most epic band ever." luke said.

"sorry. i'm honored, but i can't think about anything but flynn right now. she's still mad at us for lying. she hasn't even texted either julie or i back." indigo said.

"im not close with her as julie is because im older but she's still a really close friend. and if julie doesn't have her she's only really going to have me."

"yeah, you're in a tough spot." luke said. "so, you wanna join the band?" he then said.

"oh my gosh, read the room, dude!" indigo said walking past them and going towards the door.

"oh come on! we need you, and you need us because you need music." luke said.

"we found this poem that you wrote, and reggie and i, we added this really cool melody to it. it sounds awesome."

luke pulled out a paper, one indigo knew way too well. "where'd you find that?" indigo said.

"uh... definitely not your dream box." luke said pulling reggie in front of him.

"you went through my stuff?" indigo said running towards luke as they ran around the piano.

"i know, but..."

"yeah, we can do that now!" reggie said.

"no! no, you can't! boundaries! give it back!" indigo said in the opposite side of luke.

"no! hey, you need to realize how insanely talented you are" he said leaning on the piano.

"okay? listen to this." he said putting down the paper. "if somebody hurts you..."

he pulled the paper away as indigo tried to take it, "if somebody hurts you, i'm gonna get hurt too".

"and my life my life would be real low, zero flying solo." luke sang, adding a melody that was actually good.

"oh-oh!" reggie added. "it's a killer melody." luke said. "julie and i wrote that about flynn when she was helping us with all of the stuff with our mom." indigo said crossing her arms.

"i gotta go."

"hey, what about the band?" luke yelled out. "oh... i almost forgot. stay out of my room!" indigo said slamming the garage doors as she walked out.

"yeah? we will if you join our band." luke said sticking his head out the door, even though indigo was already gone.
