y/n was now sitting and smiling innocently in the chair near the bed where aqua's resting in director taishi's place.
the person aqua told her to call was gotanda taishi, the director from years ago. she then remembered their connections and kinds of stuff.
" y/n...it's been a while. " taishi mentioned. " are you guys, like, in a relationship now or what? "
y/n quickly did an x sign in her arms and shook her head, " no, not yet. i mean we aren't a thing. "
taishi chuckled a bit and shuffled her hair which made y/n akwardly smile in embarrassment and look at aqua.
" i've got work to do, take care of him for me. " taishi said as y/n nodded making taishi leave the room.
y/n rested her hand in his hair and inhaled sharply, her eyes slowly showing an expression of sadness.
" i guess, it's really hard, huh? the things that happened in the past. "
y/n sighed heavily again as looking at aqua now reminded her of herself, thankful that aqua's self-comfort wasn't self-harm.
unlike her.
" ai... " aqua mumbles in his sleep, which y/n's face expresses more terrified and sad which made her calm down too.
" it's alright, i promise. " y/n reassured the sleeping aqua while brushing his hair with her fingers and resting the same hand on his.
she can't bring herself to have a ptsd attack too when someone is having it right now, she wants to be there for aqua.
but she ended up crying anyway, she just bit her lower lip to stop herself from sobbing and crying more.
' why am i being so emotional, can someone please turn off the tears? ' y/n thought as she wiped her tears aggressively with the back of her hand.
" y/n...? " aqua murmured before opening his eyes as he sat up looking up at the girl, " why are you crying? "
" what? i am not crying... " y/n spoke as her voice cracked followed by a sob as she aggressively removed her tears with her hands.
" y/n, look at me. " aqua called out but y/n covered her face with her hands not wanting to look at him.
aqua sighed grabbed one of her wrists and pulled her too in the bed making y/n stumble but safely land on the bed.
" y/n, stop crying. " aqua called out her name for the third time but y/n was still crying so hard.
aqua couldn't stand to watch her cry, he groaned before silencing her with a kiss. it wasn't sweet or soft like in romance novels, and it most definitely wasn't romantic. the girl received a forceful kiss that was intended for both of them as well as to divert her focus away from the emotional pain she was going through.
the unexpected behavior left y/n unsure of what to do; the kiss was consoling but also unsettling her. despite her best efforts, she was able to put some distance between them, but they were still near enough that their noses brushed one other.
she continued to sob while speaking in a trembling voice, " i'm so pathetic, i was supposed to be comforting you not you, comforting me. "
aqua gave a little grin and gently stroked her cheeks, wiping away her tears with his thumb.
" it's alright, having you here and hearing your voice is already comforting enough. " aqua reassured.
" really? " y/n asked looking at him with her teary eyes like a child, sniffing.
" yes, really. " aqua said as y/n brought him to hug.
as the hug passed by and at the same time y/n calmed down, she suddenly pulled away with a very red face as she realized what just happened.
" d-did you...uh... " y/n fiddled with her fingers while lowering her gaze.
" yes? do you mean if i kissed you? " aqua asked straightforwardly which made y/n almost choke on her own saliva.
" uh... " y/n was now brushing her finger on her lip and every time she remembered it she felt flustered.
" that was my first kiss... " she mumbled.
" no, it isn't. " y/n gasped as aqua said that, turning to face him.
" what?! "
aqua chuckled a bit at her reaction and leaned his back in the bed, " your first kiss was actually the time of the last shoot of lovenow. "
" you actually asked me to— "
" i understand, please stop. " y/n said flustered, covering aqua's mouth as his voice muffled under her hand.
" i'm so sorry for that day, i guess. " y/n mumbled pulling her hand away from him.
" and why did you kiss me there you should've declined it. and today too! oh well, you are just doing this for kindness, yes. " y/n stated, rambling and talking to herself.
" i don't know either...i just can't stand you crying. " aqua replied and sighed. " but i didn't hate it, i just don't understand these feelings of mine either. "
" so am i... " y/n said in a low voice looking down to her feet.
she might like him for real but she feels like something's stopping her from liking him.
" hey, hey. it's alright. " aqua said patting her head. " let's keep on being what we are today and then we'll figure this up until the day comes, okay? "
" alright. " y/n said smiling a bit. " uh, thank you, and sorry. "
" i told you, it's alright. i already feel a-okay now. " aqua said copying some of her lines and making her smile widely.
" alright if you say so. "
