it's been a week since aqua and y/n had an interaction, she was at the park hugging her legs with her sketchbook next to the space on the bench.
she was sulking, the other day aqua had a date with akane while the next day it was with kana, now she was thinking maybe everything between her and him was only a joke making her just sigh and hide her face at her knees.
"i doubt he was ever genuine..." she muttered to herself.
' well, it's not like we are both together. right...? but still...what the heck are we two? ' she thought.
" who? " she then felt a soft cloth on her neck that looked like a scarf that made her raise her head and saw aqua with a soft smile, tilting his head to match the height of her face.
her eyes widen making her back her head away from him, asking, " what...what are you doing here? "
he grabbed the scarf around her neck and wrapped it around her before replying, her face flushing a bit, " i was just walking around the park because... " he paused, " never mind. but, aren't you happy to see me? "
her eyebrow raised at his reasoning before turning her attention to his last statement. she slowly sat on the bench before standing up next to him. " that's for you to guess and for me to know, i guess? "
" well, how about you why are you doing here in this cold weather? " he asked but she just stayed silent.
" hm? silent treatment? " aqua replied poking her cheek as she looked away her face flushing a bit, can't look at him.
" y/n. " he called out but she didn't look crossing her arms, her face was all pouty making him chuckle a bit. " did you miss me? "
" i do. " she finally replied while fidgeting with her fingers. " a lot. your schedule is quite empty but you're busy with... stuff... "
he's finally getting where she's up to and smiled a bit at her reaction, " it's only friendly dates, you know? "
she then finally looked at him, her face still slightly upset no matter how hard she hid it, " i didn't say anything about your dates. "
" why so defensive? " he teased making her smack his shoulder but not hard enough to hurt.
" i am not! " she defended herself making him smile, " hey... "
" what? "
" want to go on a date, then? " he asked making her raise her head to finally look at him at the eyes, her face slightly lightening up but not making it obvious as she then cleared her throat.
" don't think you can fool me with that. but, hey, what are you waiting for? let's go. " y/n replied as she grabbed her sketchbook and pencil case from the bench.
he laughed a bit at her reaction, she acted like she didn't want to but was very happy with it especially with her already smiling ear to ear.
" hey, wait for a second. " aqua called out as y/n looked at him, he then grabbed y/n's wrist hugging her which surprised her. aqua's hand wrapped around her waist hugging her tightly as he hid his face in her hair, her face warmed up her hand then slowly hugged him back, clutching at his back.
" i have wanted to do this for a while. i missed you too. " aqua muttered making her more flustered, don't know what to say or do as she just silently hid her face in his chest.
he then hugged her for 5 minutes straight as she patted his back, " let's go now, aqua. "
aqua stayed for a bit seconds before letting go and looked at her with a smile, melting her heart that made her cover his eyes embarrassed, " stop looking at me like that. "
" looking at you like what? " aqua asked pulling her hand away from his eyes as they looked at each other again, her being more flustered and looking away.
" you're so cute when you're flustered. "
" stooop!! "
aqua chuckled as he left a soft kiss on her cheek and patted her head y/n was just too stunned to speak. grabbing her hand as he dragged her to a walk in the park while his other hand was carrying her things.
as y/n was looking at him from behind, her sight slowly got focused on her hand intertwined with his then at their surroundings as she saw photobooth making her catch up with him and tug into him to catch his attention.
" aqua, can we try that? " she asked timidly, pointing at the nearby photobooth.
" well, anything you want. i'd gladly do it for you. " he replied as she just smiled softly, " okay, let's go then!! "
she smiled at him again as she dragged him to the present photobooth, paying some cash as they sat in front of the camera.
" four shots, right? "
" yep yep! "
" that's the camera, 'kay? "
" i know, i know. i'm not dumb, you know? "
" just to make sure, of course. hehe. "
" here, come here. " y/n commanded as he obeyed. she then fixed his hair combing it with her hand as she noticed the timer coming off. " okay, look at the camera!! "
as that first shoot ended, they also finished the other three as y/n smiled looking at the pictures, and laughed a bit, " look, you look so nonchalant here. "
" and you look so cute here. " aqua commented pointing.
the two exchanged compliments and insults at the same time. she just smiled and cut the picture into two equal parts giving aqua the other one. as she kept hers in the back of her phone, thankfully she had a transparent phone case that the photo could be seen at the back of her phone.
he held her hand once again bringing her to places to eat and have fun. it was such a fun and unforgettable day for y/n that she forgot she was upset that day and also forgot to ask, what are even they?
well, what can we do? but y/n, she wanna have fun.
