high school years are the best of your life . . .
that's what you are told from a very young age. in any other case it would be, but for madelyn jensen, her highschool years are going to be burned in her brain as the years she wants to forget.
madelyn jensen used to believe high school was the best. how could she not when she had it all. the perfectly imperfect boyfriend. the hallway fame. the party invites. high school was the best, then you rope in a suicide and a sexual assault case... not so much. now, madelyn jensen wishes she could forget every year from freshman year and on. however, there was only one good thing that came from it.
justin foley was a basket case. from the youngest age he was told he was nothing and he believed it. growing up in an abusive household with a junkie mother, it was only a matter of time before he fell into her footsteps. then madelyn jensen comes along and changes his path. she leaves again and shit hits the fan faster than you can say it. she was his lifeline, and he's scared the line will go flat sooner than he's ready.
