BRYCE WASN'T SHOT. Maddie learned that last night after a very... mind numbing trip to Monet's. Bryce wasn't shot, he was beaten. They're dragging up the river to find the weapon. AKA the place where Clay and Tony dumped Tyler's guns after Spring Fling.

Maddie had it figured out a while ago, but if she didn't, she definitely knew now. Her senior year was about to suck.

That seemed to prove even more true when she arrived at school a few days later.

The whole school had been abuzz. The football lockers had been searched and police were swarming Liberty like it was the scene of a crime. Apparently it was after Bryce's car had been found with blood and a shit-ton of drugs with it.

"You're gonna protest his funeral? I mean, Mads, come on. This is so fucked up." Justin asks from beside Maddie as she walks with him through the hallway. A poster hangs on the wall, reading, MOURN THE SURVIVORS, NOT THE RAPIST!

Maddie was going to fucking kill Casey.

"This wasn't me!" She tells him, ripping down the poster from the wall. "I fucking told her—"

She's quickly cut off when Alex comes walking over to them. "You guys, heads up if you have shit in your lockers. They're doing a search."

"Yeah, they already did, the football team." Justin says.

"No, my dad's still here. They'll do the whole school, I promise."

"Well, I've got nothing to hide."

"Well, good for you." Alex says before walking off.

Maddie and Justin look at each other blankly for a moment before they look back at the hall Tyler disappeared through. "Why does he give a shit about a locker search?"

"Who the fuck knows." Maddie shakes her head and looks down at the poster in her hand. "All I know is that I'm going to fucking raise hell on someone."

Maddie bids her goodbye's to Justin before taking off down the hallways toward the HO meeting room. On the way, she met up with Jessica, who was as just as livid as her, and together, they stormed into the meeting room.

Maddie's white Converse thud on the ground beneath her while Jessica's heels click. They stop in front of the long table and Maddie holds up the yellow poster. "They're searching locker's today."

"Good." Casey says. "Find a lot of those."

Tyler looks at Maddie from where he sits at the table, gluing posters. "Wait, they told me that you guys wanted to do this."

Maddie runs her tongue along the inside of her cheek, trying really hard not to pounce on this bitch.

"We don't need their permission. The group decided."
