Remus Lupin didn't understand why his mind was sabotaging him. No matter how hard he tried, he couldn't focus on anything.

Doing homework became a torture for the boy ever since he started having all those distracting thoughts. Whenever he started writing an essay, he found himself drifting away, thinking about her beautiful smile.

He was trying not to think about her all the time, but it always turned out to be a failed attempt. 'Get yourself together Remus' he told himself a million times, but his mind and his heart couldn't care less.

He was frustrated about how she was on his mind all the times. Blocking him from being able to do the easiest tasks. When he realized the ink was bleeding through the parchment again, he cussed under his breath trying to lift it off the table quickly.

Here he had done it again. Drifting away halfway through his homework, because he couldn't get this one name out of his mind: Callianna Clark. He was frightened when he first started having all those thoughts, more like not having any other thoughts at all.

The boy was very confused as to why his mind has suddenly decided to betray him. He couldn't get Cally out of his mind. He would somehow start thinking of the girl and everything around him would link up to her.

That wouldn't only occur when he was away from her, he would find himself thinking about her even when she was right by his side. When just the two of them were taking care of the Cobra Lily in the greenhouse alone together, he could only stare so much at her.

"Can you trim his roots while i go get some worms for him?" the girl asked him with the prettiest smile he's ever seen. He could only nod as he watched the girl walk to the shelfs filled with all kinds of fertilizers for plants. He couldn't stop admiring her as she reached for the worm filled jar.

He completely forgot about the scissors he was holding, not taking his eyes off of her. That was when he accidentally cut the leaf of the flower. The Cobra Lily made a 'tss' sound before attacking the boy's hand.

"Ah! Shit!" Remus yelled with pain. Cally looked the boys way startled by his voice. "Merlin, Remus! How did you let him bite you?" she ran to him seeing the blood dropping from the boys finger.

She quickly grabbed the piece of cloth on the table and handed it to the boy "Here wrap it around your finger while i take the pot to the other table then we'll go to the hospital wing.". Her demanding voice almost made the boy smile if he wasn't in so much pain because of the bite.

"I can't believe you two, and I can't believe Pomona for letting her students be alone with those evil plants." Poppy Pomfrey complained while dabbing a cloth soaked in some purple potion to the boys wound. The nurse's continuous complaining made Remus smile apologetically and send Cally a look that made the girl giggle in return.

"You're good to go, but I don't want to see you two for a long time, now get lost." Madam Pomfrey shooed them away with her hands. "She's so sick of seeing students who hurt themselves, wonder why she ever become a nurse to be fair." Cally said when they were finally out in the hallway, still laughing.

"Can't blame her, can you? She has to deal with stupid injuries all the time. 'Poppy, my arm fell of in potions, can you fix it?'" Remus mocked. That only made Cally laugh harder in return. "Stop it my stomach hurts from laughing!" she exclaimed.

"But seriously Remus, how did you cut the lily's leaf like that? We could've failed the assignment if it was any closer to its risp." Cally asked the boy. "I honestly have no idea. Just got distracted for a second I suppose, sorry. Thank Merlin he's still okay." Remus sighed with a relief.
