pt 2

everyone had the day off, so you and reid decided to go for coffee. you scheduled to meet reid for coffee at ten, and you got there a little early so you ordered your coffee and sat down at a table. later, the bell rings when the door opened, it was reid. you admire the way his hair looks in the morning sunlight.

"hey!" you said, smiling shaking his hand.

"a handshake? who told you i had a germ thing?" he said, confusing and shaking my hand too.

"um, i- i didn't know." you said, laughing nervously.

so you guys sat down at table, while the waitress came by and took reid's order.

"so, why did you decide to join the bau?" reid said, finishing his order.

"my father was in the police force and he was killed in a mass shooting, so i decided to follow in his footsteps." you said.

"oh. i'm sorry to hear that, but that sounds really cool how you're following in his footsteps." reid said, smiling lightly.

"so, you're a doctor right? how many phDs do you have?" you said.

"oh! i have three, one in math, one in chemistry, and other in engineering." reid said, talking kind of fast but you don't mind.

"oh! i have three too." you said, not wanting to brag.

"wow, it feels great to have someone like me on the team." reid said getting excited.

"i have one in psychology, chemistry, and clinical psychology." you said.

"you know, the word psychology was formed by combining the Greek psychē (meaning "breath, principle of life, life, soul,") with –logia (which comes from the Greek logos, meaning "speech, word, reason")" reid said, doing his fast talk thing.

"yes, i actually did know that." you said laughing.

you guys got interrupted by a call for hotch.

"we've caught a case." reid said hanging up.

"do you want a ride?" you said, throwing away your coffee cup.

"um, sure. i walked here anyways." reid said, smiling.

you and reid drove the office, and you guys were confused because all of the lights were off. and it was so quiet.

"hotch?" reid said, in complete darkness.

then, you and reid heard 'surprise' and you and him kinda screamed.

"whoa, was that a scream?" morgan said laughing.

"yes and i was startled. that's all." you said, rolling your eyes.

"well, todays reid's and y/n's birthday." hotch said.

you looked at reid and reid looked at you.

"you didn't tell me today was your birthday." you and reid said at the same time.

"aw, that's cute." emily said, looking at the way i look at reid.

"i think they like each other." JJ whispered to emily.

"well, they act just alike." garcia said.

they lit candles for me and reid to blow out. you cut the cake for everyone.

"hey, spence first piece for the birthday boy?" you said, smiling.

"you know, she's the only person in the whole world who calls me spence." reid told dave smiling.

"there is no case today, reid. it was a ruse to get you guys to come in." hotch said laughing.

afterwards, you guys decide to go to a bar with everyone. and morgan ordered a round of shots, and you don't really drink because of your mom. but, you only drank one because you didn't want to be an odd person. you had went to the bathroom, and some half drunk guy followed you.

"hey there beautiful." he said, kind of slurring his words.

"huh? um, no thank you." you said trying to move.

"no no, where you going? i'm just trying to have so fun." he said moving in your way.

"no. leave me alone and get the hell out of my way." you said pushing him which that seem to set him off.

"you bitch-" he goes to hit you, when someone nudges him.

"hey man! what the hell?" the man said, turning around.

"leave the girl alone man." morgan said, motioning you to come to him.

"what are you? her boyfriend?" the man said putting his hand on his hip.

"no but i'll show you who i am." morgan said, flashing his badge.

"oh shit. sorry man." the man said running.

"you good?" morgan said.

"yes, not the first time this happened to me." you said smiling and going back to the table.

"so, reid tells us you and him are alike." dave says looking around.

"um yeah actually, i have three phDs and an iq of 187." you said smiling.

after you guys talked for a while, you guys decided to go home because JJ had to revive the babysitter. reid was drinking, i've never seen him drink before and i didn't know he drank. you were fine to drive and you didn't want to leave reid by himself. so, you drove reid to your apartment and helped him inside, took about 15 minutes but you guys got there. reid walked to your room, you're assuming he thought it was his apartment. you took reid's shoes off and placed them next to yours, and you helped reid into the covers and he went to sleep. morgan had called you.

"hey there, pretty girl. how's reid?" morgan said.

"oh um, i didn't trust him at his apartment so i took him to mine and he fell asleep in my bed." you said smiling and looking over at him.

"oh? y/n, you've only been here for not that long and you've gotten reid to be happier than ever. everyone can tell he likes you, and it's obvious you like him too." morgan said, getting in his 'serious' tone.

"oh, yeah. i do like reid. he seems like a pretty cool person." you said trying not to blush.

"haha, alright kids goodnight." morgan said.

"night." you said hanging up.

you turned on the fan, and slept on the couch. after fifteen minutes later, reid came to you in his boxers.

"y/nnnn, i got hot so i took off my clothes. and why are you sleeping here? come to the bed." reid said with his messy hair.

"haha okay okay, im coming." you said laughing.

once you laid down, reid plopped right on top of you and fell asleep. and you didn't think too much about because you know he was drunk. but it didn't matter. you had developed a crush on spencer reid.
