Chapter 8 - Space Jammin'

There wasn't meant to be a gig since Grojband had been rejected.

Katrina had asked Laney about it, who said Corey had disappeared for a bit but it was fine.

So Katrina had let Trina take control since they didn't need to plan a gig rescue.

But of course Corey wasn't giving up and planned to drag the band there anyway.

Aliens were definitely very unexpected.

Katrina didn't see Laney again until after it was over.

"How long has there been an alien problem?"

"A while. They challenged us to a battle of the bands and if we lose, they'll destroy the world. Kon told them everything about you and how we get lyrics. And I think if they've abducted you, they've stolen the diary."

"Wait, they have the diary..."

"But no new entries!"

"I think you know what's gonna happen."

Laney grinned. "Our work is cut out for us."

With Trina's secrets being exposed to the crowd, it wasn't long after that she lost it and went diary.

Grojband clearly had the winning song and the aliens had no choice but to leave and not destroy the world.

"I hope that's the last time we see them," Katrina said.

"Couldn't agree more," Laney replied.

Totally not a foreshadowing conversation.
