Chapter 12 - Monster Of Rock

"They want to do a gig in the sewers! Why!? I don't know why Corey thinks this is a good idea, but it isn't!" Laney ranted.

Katrina just nodded. "Yeah, but you're gonna go along with it anyway."

"I know! That's why I'm frustrated, because I should be stopping them but I'm going to go along with it anyway!"

"Well, what can we do to help?"

"What's Trina done today? You said something about toxic waste?"

"Oh, she's trying to ruin the gig by getting Mina to dump cans of toxic waste into the sewers. But I think it woke up the monster."

Laney thought of something. "And she's chasing Nick Mallory like always, right?"

"Of course."

"Is the monster really kidnapping people from the toilets like Kin and Kon said?"

"Yeah, a lot of kids in town have went missing already."

"Well, we either wait for the monster to kidnap Nick or we make it look like it kidnapped him. Trina sees her crush on a date with a monster, she goes diary."

Katrina had to admit, it was a good idea.

"Will the band still go into the sewers with the monster loose?"

"They will if we use one of our bandmates as bait and have to go save him and everyone else."

Just as Laney said, Corey came up with this exact plan.

The next time Katrina spoke to her was after the gig.

"Wow, you really are Corey's best friend."

"That I am."

"But no more sewer gigs?"

"Definitely not."
