Chapter 10- The Blood Moon

Rosey's P.O.V

I felt a low humming sound, I couldn't hear it, but I could feel it. What was that? I heard voices. They were distant, but I could still hear what they were saying.

"Aren't you going to heal her?" a voice asked. It sounded familiar, I think it was Noah.

"I am, but once she wakes up," a voice I recognised to be Jacobi's response.

"She doesn't need to be awake for her to drink your blood," Noah said.

"My blood can't fix this damage, Vincent's blade had vervain which can kill a vampire but poisons a human nevertheless. His blade had too much vervain. My blood would not be enough. " Jacobi spoke in a tired tone.

"So what are you going to do?" Noah asked.

"The only thing I can," he said.

"No!" Noah said immediately. "I will not let you do that knowing how weak it will make you and the rest of us," he finished.

 "I will close off the bond when I do it so that I won't channel any of  you, and you all won't be affected," Jacobi said.

"But you know you can't do this on your own. You are weak, you haven't drank from -" Noah was interrupted by Jacobi.

"If I don't, she will die," he said.

"And if you do, you might die," Noah counteracted.

"I won't die, I'll channel her," Jacobi said. Noah was silent for a few seconds. The voices were getting further and further like I was drifting away from them.

" That won't end well..." Noah said, fading away until I heard nothing again.

 I opened my eyes to a dimly lit room, Jacobi's room. Memories of yesterday were still fuzzy in my brain, so I remembered nothing. Jacobi was sitting on a chair next to the bed. He stared at me unmovingly. His intense gaze was mesmerising but intimidated me a lot more. He looked mad, and I didn't get what he was mad about. I slowly tried sitting up, and pain exploded in my stomach, making me wince. 

"Don't do that you making matters worse," he spoke in a low voice.

"What happened?" I asked.

"Don't worry, I'll explain later for now. I must heal you,"Jacobi said, getting up from his chair.

"How will you heal me?" I asked, recalling the conversation I heard between him and Noah in my dream... was it a dream, though?

"Rosalina, listen to me carefully. I have to heal you, but it won't be the same as other times that I have healed you. I promise I will explain everything later, but for now, please do as I say, " he said. I nod.

"Do you trust me? " he asked.

"Yes,"I whispered, still confused as to what was going on.

"I need you to open yourself to me, now close your eyes and relax your mind."

I did as he said and I felt that low hum again reaching for me the same sound from the other day when I had a nightmare and the same sound from earlier, I tried reaching for it as well.

"No, don't do that. Ignore that feeling." he said, and I did, but the more I resisted the louder and stronger it became.

It started to get hot, and a line of sweat covered my forehead. What was happening? The pain slowly started to burn, and I squirmed in struggle, which caused resistance, breaking the bond Jacobi created.
