Rosey's P.O.V
My eyes slowly opened as the pain within me subsided. It was not harming me, and for some reason, I knew where this direction was leading me. Death. I could feel it. I could smell it. Hell, I could even taste it. The weirdest part about this was that I wasn't afraid at all.
I was in Jacobi's room, though I don't remember how I got here, but due to the conversation, I was overhearing things were bad.
"What are we going to do?" Noah asked.
"There is nothing much we can do." Jacobi sounded defeated.
"You are giving up?" He asked, sounding annoyed.
"WHAT THE HELL DO YOU SAY WE DO!!" Jacobi raged.
It was silent for a long while before Jacobi spoke again.
"I'm losing her, and there is nothing I can do about it."
The door opened, and Jacobi walked through. He sat right by my bedside and smiled at me somberly. I was sweating profusely, and my health was slowly withering. I knew I was dying, and by the looks of it, so did Jacobi. Jacobi and I were not the only ones in the room. There whole circle wad there, Edda, Noah,James,Christopher Taylor.
Edda's face held a look that told me everything that was wrong. Tears kept building up in her eyes, but she kept blinking them away in oder to show strength.
"Hey Kitten." He chuckled at his choice of words. It honestly lightened the tension in the room, the tension that was so palpable it could be cut with a knife.
"Jacobi. "My voice came out in bearly a whisper. Thanks to his extended hearing ability, he could hear me.
He had tears threatening to burst out of his eyes.
"How are you feeling?" He asked softly, ignoring all the other souls that have just entered the room.
"Sweaty, weak and light-headed. Feels like an aftermath of sugar rush." I said weakly.
Despite the situation, we both beamed in each other's laughter.
"You're going to be okay." He stated softly.
"You're such a bad liar -" I trailed off and went into a fit of coughs that suddenly brought everyone else into worry and sadness.
"I'm sorry Rosey, I failed you. I failed to protect you and keep you safe..."
"No," I interrupted his goodbye speech.
"Why?" He asked.
"I won't let you say goodbye to me besides you didn't fail me because I kept you alive, and that's all that matters." I said before falling into another fit of coughs this time coming with a little bit of blood.
Jacobi brushed off the pieces of hair that stuck to my head because of my sweat.
"I'm dying." I stated with a half laugh.
He looked away as more tears fell from his face.
"I need you to make me a promise." I told him.
Silence.
"Cobi?"
He finally looked at me, still not willing to speak.
"Promise me that you will take care of yourself until I come back to you."
What I said caught all of us of guard, including me. I don't know how I knew, but I just knew that this was far from over. Something in me told me I would get to see Jacobi again.
"I promise that I will find my way back to you. Just always keep me in your memories."
"It should've been me. You were never supposed to be in this position. " he said solemnly.
"I would never let you be in this position. " I stated slowly, running out of breath, and my body was getting colder by the minute.
"Jacobi, it almost time. She is desiccating. " Noah stated painfully.
Jacobi's arms tightened around and held me close to him. I looked deep in his eyes, and right there on my death bed, we shared our first kiss. Though I was dying, the kiss gave me life. It was sweet, gentle, and tender, then slowly slightly increased to the one of passion. He pulled away slowly.
"Promise me." I said in a whisper. He hesitated but finally promised. I could no longer feel my body.
"I promise." He said finally.
"I love you today, tomorrow and..."I trailed off being too weak to finish the sentence.
"...and for eternity. "He said slowly. He brought our foreheads together and then nothing. I felt him slip away, I felt myself slip away into the dark abbys.
