Chapter 15- Pack your bags

Jacobi's P.O.V.

She was still asleep when I left. She hasn't fully recovered. I pressed the button on the elevator to my office. When the doors sled open, I was met with a smiling James.

"Wussup, brother, how did you sleep?" He greeted.

"Bothered and you?" I responded.

"I slept great. What bothered you?" He asked.

"I did not sleep," I replied.

"Why your little kitten keep you up?" He teased.

"Actually, yes," I replied

"Wait, seriously, I didn't think you'd be the one to fall for a human,especially her." he was shocked.

"She has been coming in and out of consciousnessand i am worried that this pain might be too much for he to handle. I can't stop thinking about her last request from me." I explained.

"Which was?" James asked.

"She asked me to help her know what she is."

"Wait, is that not great news?" James asked.

"It is, but..." I trailed off. James's eyes widened in shock.

"Bro, don't tell me you have fallen for her."

"I want to keep her safe."

"Ohh! That makes sense sorry dude" he said sarcastically as he put his arm around me.

"James, get off of me and don't call me dude." I narrowed my eyes at him.

"My bad, bossman," we walked into my office.

Taylor walked in.

"Good evening Master"he said.

"Yes, Taylor, how may I help you?" I asked.

"The Royals wish you to meet Noland McKinley to discuss the territory arrangements. " he spoke.

I completely forgot about that. I still have to work with the McKinley coterie and that we still have to plan our territory arrangements.

"Yeah, those wolves keep hunting on our side, and if they don't stop, we might end up having a war," James spoke.

Taylor shot daggers at him, and he winked at him. They have always had a relationship I did not understand.

"So road trip?" Taylor asked.

"I don't know," I replied . This didn't feel good.

"Come on, you do know that if we don't do something soon, we gonna run out on animal blood, we won't be able to hunt anymore." Taylor said. He did have a point.

"I don't feel like I want to be around him after what just happened to Rosey, she still has not healed yet and speaking of Rosey what am I gonna do with her I can't really leave her side since I don't even know what she is but she poses a threat because she is scared."I started to spiral with reasons as to why I couldn't go.

"Well, you are not by her side now. Why can't she come along as company?" He asked.

"Are you crazy, Noland would do anything to try and get his hands on her. I can't let that happen." I scolded.

"And you won't because she will be with you all the time and you can see it as threat to Noland just pretend she is dangerous and Noland will be your puppet with you pulling his strings, he will be weak against you" he proposed.

"I don't have to pretend she is dangerous, but what you said could work." The more I thought about it, the more I felt confident about the idea.
