Chapter X : Hêv Xervît

"Alright, see you later, Grey."

The human princess leaves a kiss on her bodyguard but also her boyfriend's bony cheek before she went inside the castle. Grey stood there for a moment with a soft smile before he turned around and walked away from the castle's front door.

Grey is the Sans from the Moontale universe and he is one of the royal scientist as well as a personal bodyguard for the princess. He has a soul crystal, it wasn't his soul once. His soul was a normal monster soul and the crystal is the source of magic and life on the moon. It was once entrusted to Grey to keep it safe, but it became one with his soul. Whenever he used the magic from the crystal, it's magic were too powerful for him and his body to handle. His body would melt just using a tiny bit of it's magic.

Once Grey steps out of the gate, he heard someone's voice greeting him. An unfamiliar voice.

Grey looked to his right and there he found someone, a skeleton that looks like him but with a black skull, green tear marks and two tentacles behind him. He seems younger as well. He's leaning his back on the large wall of the gate, looking at Grey.

"Do you have a minute?"

Error walked out of the castle to the garden behind the castle. The garden has a lot of flowers, usually Horror was the one to take care of these, but he rarely did these days.

The Kids--minus Hostile--gathered in the garden, waiting for Error. Today is the day they go on a mission outside of this world to another world. Error and Nightmare had gained more information about the Sans in Moontale, with the alias Grey.

Today's mission is to kill Grey and take the moon crystal back to this world. This is also the VK's first mission to another universe, before this, they had never done any missions outside of this universe. Nightmare had his eyes on the said crystal inside Grey's body and he wants to examine it and see what it can do and how powerful it is. He'll destroy it if it's useless anyway.

VK team is short on people right now with Hostile not wanting to join in. So, Error had to fill in while also watch over the kids while they proceed the mission.

"Are you ready?" Error asked once he stood in front of the kids. They stood in front of him, holding their own weapons and seemed to be ready for the mission.

The kids nodded their head at Error. Error also nods,

"Let's get going then."

Error immediately open a portal next to him, then he gestured the kids to follow him inside the portal. The kids nodded their head at him, then he went inside the portal. The kids followed, Malice went inside first, then Diaval, then Horrid and the last to enter is Nacre. Once everyone enter the portal, it closes itself.

Nacre looks around the place, it seems like they're behind a giant wall. The surrounding sky is black but there are faint glows in the distance. They're in outer space, specifically on the moon. Just like the name of it's AU.

"Why are we not flying around??" Diaval asked, jumping. Usually when we're on the moon, we would float. But the gravity seems to be the same as earth's gravity.

"That's thanks to the moon crystal. The gravity on the moon is the same as the earth. See that almost transparent wall not far from here? If we land outside of the transparent barrier, the moon's gravity is back." Error explained, his thumb pointing at the transparent barrier not far from here.

"Oohh!" Diaval seems impressed.

"So, we just need to get the Moon Crystal from this guy named Grey?" Malice asked, looking at Error.
