As Noah led me the way, we entered the main living room where there was a whole music band of different music instruments were playing a slow music and there were many caterers bringing a tray of drinks and small bites of food to be distributed.

Some of the guests have eaten in the dining room where a long mahogany table was set with many different kinds of cutleries at each seat, while being waited by the butlers who were on standby behind the table.

If I had an experience to dine in at a Royal Palace, this might be it. I knew the Jeffersons were rich, but I could not imagine they would be this rich.

Noah had been spending his money on me was just few dollars to him, and judging by how he was not good in managing his own money, I bet there would be more to it in the future.

An old classy rich-looking man sat down at the main seat of the main table, who was too busy talking with the other young-looking man in black suit who sat next to him, to even notice us coming in their way.

Suddenly Jen came out of nowhere, inviting us to sit nearby them. "I'm so happy we're finally together again," She sat down next to the old man, who I assumed to be Mr. Jefferson.

"Nicholas," She put her hand onto his to grab his attention. "Why don't you say hello to your son?"

Nicholas cleared his throat and said something to the other guy before looking at his wife, "Hold that thought, Daniel."

Noah saw beside me and his mother after he pulled me a chair next to him.

"How are you doing, son?" His mature voice was clear and stern. "I believe the company is doing well under your supervision."

"Please, no work talk in the table," Jen smiled weakly.

Noah was siting straight, way too straight when he answered his father's statement, "Everything is under control, Father. I can assure you have nothing to worry about."

Jen sighed as both of them totally ignored her request.

When the food was served before us, his father turned to Daniel to talk more and completely forgot Noah was here.

Jen cleared her throat, "Daniel."

Nicholas and Daniel stopped talking and looked at Jen with a forced smile.

"I totally forgot to introduce to you," She smiled weakly. "This is Jane, Noah's girlfriend."

The attention immediately went to me and only me. Daniel's gaze stayed at me for quite sometime until he finally smiled and said, "Nice to finally meet you, Jane. I'm glad Noah finally found someone who cracks his code."

Noah breathed a small chuckle without looking at him.

"I got to say, bravo," He picked up his glass of champagne and held it to air click it to my direction.

One thing I noticed about Daniel, that he did not look similar to Noah at all. He got the Jefferson's perfect brows but different tone of hair than Noah. His bone structure was a bit chubbier while Noah was perfectly structured.

"You seem to forget our deal, Brother," Noah said to Daniel.

"And that is?" He sipped on his champagne.

"You said you'd find someone before I do," Noah smirked.

Daniel laughed, "How much did we bet again?"

"Thousand dollars," Noah simply stated a figure as if it was just ten dollars.

"As much as I love both of you are finally acting like brothers, what did I say about making a bet out of money?" Jen warned them like a little kid.

"I'm sorry, Jen," Daniel said. "By the way, I love what you did to the garden. The last time I was here, it was a mess. And thank you for keeping the swing. I appreciate it."

Jen smiled, "It's the only thing that reminds me of you. I keep it in a hope for you to come back here. Maybe you'd like to stay here for good?"

Nicholas nodded, "I heard the Brandon Entertainment would love to have you here. It's such a big opportunity for you to branch out."

A smile was stapled on his face, "I don't know. There's still a few things I need to figure out in London and Mom won't fancy me living here for too long. But I appreciate it that you always make me feel like at home, Jen."

Jen's smile became weaker before it disappeared completely. There I figured out Daniel and Noah were only half brothers or not related at all and that explained why they did not look similar.

"I heard you bought almost all media companies in town recently," Daniel spoke, gazed at Noah. "I didn't know you're interested in investing on entertainment industry."

Noah smiled a little and looked up at Daniel, "Picking up a new interest along the way, I guess."

Nicholas interrupted. "Maybe if you could start with one media company would be an ideal option. Buying all media companies in town," He shook his head once. "I hope you've done your analysis and research, because it's too risky."

"Have a little faith, Father," Noah bravely said.

"I will if I still have," He replied with a gaze froze on Noah. "You may have your Grandfather's words in the will, it doesn't mean you have the right to spoil yourself with his money."

"Nicholas!" Jen's voice came out too strong but managed to breathe when she continued with her low voices, "We have guests in the house. Can you at least respect that?"

Nicholas cleared his throat and breathed. For a moment, the silence was too loud between us in the table until Jen excused herself, "I have to see some of the guests by the door."

Noah stood up as he grabbed my hand in gesture to make me stand up with him, "If you'll excuse us." He put my hand on his arm, "Father, Brother, please make yourselves at home and finish your dinner. Mother hires the best caterer in town to welcome both of you. That's one thing you should appreciate, at least."
