SAM PICKED ME UP FOR THE AFTER-PARTY EVENT.

I had worn my white shirt, just like Noah asked me to, with my hair down and my dark blue jeans. It was going to be a casual business party, unlike other parties I had gotten through.

My eyes immediately roamed for Noah as I had arrived. The place was crowded with people enjoying each others' companies and drinks. A lot of drinks.

The party was definitely different than the other boring parties I had been to. This was more like a high school party that I had never been to.

No one looked at me as I made my way to the bar. Everyone was literally busy dancing and shouting at each other with drinks that never left their hands.

The songs, the lights and the people were a little bit overwhelmed, so I just sat on the stool and ordered myself a drink, hoping Noah would be able to find me beneath all this chaos.

"Hey," a voice called out on me. "You look too pretty to be alone," He said. "May I fancy you a drink?"

A guy approached me out of nowhere. He leaned his arms on the bar with his brown wide eyes locked on mine. He did not look familiar, for sure, but he looked like he was having a good time.

Just before I was about to say something, another voice appeared, just this was a familiar one. "It is because she is not alone," I immediately recognized that voice as he made his way to my side, which separated the guy from me.

"Two dry martinis, please," He ordered as if the guy was not there at all.

When the guy was still not budged from his spot, Noah looked at him with a straight voice, "What do you want?"

"Who do you think you are?" He had the audacity to say something like that, which had attracted attentions from the crowds. "You think you're that tough, huh pretty boy?" He pointed out his finger to Noah.

Noah stood straight but remained calm. This guy was definitely drunk and had no idea who he was speaking to.

"You need to get a fresh air, man," Noah said.

Out of nowhere the his fist was about to hit Noah's face and when I was about to warn Noah, he immediately dodged the fist and hit him back right to his face. Few tall figured men with black suit hurriedly went towards us to take the guy out of Noah's sight and one of them was Sam.

I barely could catch a breath after what I just saw in front of me.

Noah fought for me?

His hand was behind me, trying to make me balanced, "Are you okay?"

I almost could not respond to his question but I managed to nod a little. "You need to stay with me at all time tonight. There's a lot of jackass over here."

Throughout the night, Noah could not let go of me. It was either his hand gripped mine or his hand was wrapped around my waist.

He did not kid around when he said rich people partied like animals. It was almost three times I saw people fainted on the floor and got carried by the guards, in thirty minutes time.

Few glasses were broken and drinks spilled. It was messy and smelled foul. I would pay big money to get away from here, if only Noah's hand was off from me.

Just because his hand was on me, he did not get a chance to speak with other girls. Not even a single girl was brave enough to come up to him.

The only people that talked with him was people from other associates with Jefferson Industry and that was it. Who talked business with loud music and distracting lights blinding everyone's eyes?
