"Would you kiss me back if I do?"
Noah asked with his soft gaze fixed on mine as his finger trailed at the back of my dress, somehow had me believing that he actually wanted to kiss me.
I smiled sheepishly, as our foreheads touched, "Now that's a hard question."
"Why so?" He patiently asked.
"Because I'm attracted to you," I laughed. "I've always been attracted to you, Noah."
His head went back up and had a good look on me without letting me go, "I thought you said I'm not your type?"
"Then I'm a good liar," I smiled. "Now if we kiss, I might fall for you for a long time and you won't be able to return my feelings. So let's not cross the line, okay? No matter how badly I wanted to kiss you right now."
"What if I say, I'm attracted to you as well?" He asked.
I shook my head, "Nope. I'm not falling for that."
"Okay," He said calmly. "I think it's time for us to go."
Another different flashbacks had played in my mind as I tried to remember. We were in my apartment. No. We were in my room, on my bed.
"You know, my mom would've been proud of who I have become now," I said in a low tone, as I laid down on my bed over his strong arm. "She would plant me a lot of cactus for good luck charm and water them every day.
"She worked two jobs just to make ends meet after my dad left us a month after I was born," I continued. "I always thought I was the reason they got divorced. When I was sixteen, my mom sat me down during dinner and told me that my dad was cheating on her while she was pregnant. She said I wouldn't understand the whole thing if she told me earlier. I appreciated her thoughts on that. I never hated her for anything. I never could, ever. Even though I had spent years thinking I was the reason for their split up."
"What happened to your mom?" Noah asked.
"She got into a car accident after she got back home from her night shift," I answered, shivering when I recalled the event. He gripped my hand to make sure I was alright. "She must be so tired from her job," I almost cried.
"Hey," He held my chin up to his gaze. "For whatever reason, she's in a safe place now. You don't have to worry about her."
He was so close to me that I could smell his cologne, my favorite one. We were staring at each other for so long as if his blue eyes were speaking to me without words. His eyes were on my lips for several times, asking for my permission but I held back just to tease him.
This felt surreal even though I was convinced this was a dream. I reached for his shirt and started to unbutton them.
"For someone who warned me not to cross the line," He smiled sinisterly. "You're making it hard for me not to."
When I reached to his last button, his shirt was taken off from him so easily and smooth. I was hit with a sudden adrenaline rush which gave me such confidence to get up and took off my dress in front of him.
"Just to let you know," He groaned as he reached for me and pulled me back to my bed. "Just because you're drunk and probably just agree to what we're going to do, I'm not going to let you go tonight. Now tell me what do you want me to do to you?"
I found myself sat on his lap with only bra and underwear—for the first time I was glad I was wearing my good underwear. His hands once again trailed against my bare back and playing with my bra straps, as if he was waiting for my permission to take it off.
"Kiss me," I looked down on him, demanded.
It was unbelievable having to look down at him as if I was taller than him. He did not waste any time. He pulled my neck down to him and pressed his soft lips against mine.
