After all the chaos with Nate's friends, my brothers and Nate's cute little cousin, me and Nate decided to hide in my room before they spotted us. At one point they knocked on my door but Nate and I stayed quiet so they thought that we weren't there. After a few minutes, one of the maids told me that they went around town.
Nate and I were just lying on my bed, staring at the plain white ceiling with The 1975's music playing on the background. Both of us were lost in thought and I'd give anything to read his mind at this very moment. I still can't believe that this guy likes me. I mean, I'm a mess and it seems that it has become his mission to fix me.
Nate broke my train of rants when he sighed and turn on his side to face me.
"I'd like to ask you a question," he said with a smile.
"Shoot," I said and smirked at him.
"Say if hypothetically, a guy asked you on a date, would you say yes?" he asked.
"Depends," I answered.
"On what?"
"On who the guy is and where he's going to take me," I said.
He brushed a lock of hair from my face and tingles shot up my spine.
"Well, what if a crazy but gorgeous guy asked you to dinner at this fancy restaurant," he said.
I hummed for quite a bit, pretending to think about it then said, "Nah, I'll pass."
"Even if you get to see the guy in a tuxedo and you'd be wearing a beautiful dress?" he asked.
"I've had enough of formal wear and formal events thank you very much."
"Then where would you want to go?" he asked, obviously fishing for information.
"I don't know," I shrugged. "Probably somewhere cozy."
He stared at the ceiling again and I went back to listening to Matt Healy's oh so glorious voice and to my own heartbeat accompanying it. Nate seemed to be thinking again so I let him be. There are times when silence is just so much better than talking.
After probably 2 songs or so, Nate shot up the bed with a boyish grin plastered on his face. If I wasn't so darn surprised, I would have melted into a puddle because of him.
"I know where to take you on a date now," he said and stood up. I was still lying on the bed and he grabbed my hands to sit me up.
"I thought it was hypothetical," I said.
"Obviously," he said sarcastically.
"Well, who said I was going on a date with you?" I teased to see what his reaction would be.
He obviously looked forlorn and said, "Oh okay. I just thought that you would want to go."
I couldn't keep it in and I burst into laughter at him. "I was teasing!"
He narrowed my eyes at me and looked really annoyed. "That wasn't funny."
"Oh yes it was," I said between laughs.
"Uh huh," he said and gave me that smirk I've come to love.
"Oh no," I said, realizing that he was planning something. "Nate I swear I'm really sorry."
