As we walked around the streets, I have discovered that my brothers were actually good for something-taking away the awkwardness. Every time I looked at Nate, I would remember the sweet kiss that we shared and I'd blush all over again. It really was a good thing that my brothers were with us since they dragged Nate inside, well, practically every store. They've shown him lots of stuff and the guy was too nice to be rude and ignore them like I mostly do.

"Hey Winter, we're just going inside that store over there," Harry said. "It's not for girls so just stay here."

"Why can't I go?" I asked, looking and peering towards the glass window of the store.

"Because you're a lady and when you go inside, you'll just embarrass us," Lewis said.

I glared at him and said, "I'll ignore the fact that you said that, dear brother. But I will of course never make you forget that on this very, very special day, you called me a lady."

I sent him an evil smirk and I swear, all the blood in his body went to his face. He looked so red that even Nate stared at him with a weird expression.

"Lewis, are you okay?" Nate asked.

Lewis is not the most gentlemanly boy in the planet but what do you expect of your little brother? He just really hates it when I catch him actually hinting that he likes me. He's a bit of a weird kid since he loves teasing me and not showing affection. I even think that he's never said that I'm beautiful or that I looked pretty even for once.

"Alright, fine. I'll stay here," I said and slumped on the bench, digging inside my bag for my pack of Jelly Babies.

As I sat, I watched Nate and my brothers through the store's window and they were laughing about something probably too guy-ish for me. I found myself smiling when Nate ruffled my brother's hair, teasing him. I've probably been staring for far too long that Nate noticed because he turned his head toward my direction and looked at me. He gave me a crooked grin that made me turn more jelly than my Jelly Babies. Realizing that I have just been caught staring and blushing at him back, I waved at him and gave him one of my most awkward smiles ever. Great, nice touch Winter. You've just embarrassed yourself even more.

Once he diverted his attention to my brothers again, I looked at him laughing along with them and felt sad that I wasn't able to be like that with them. I was never really there for each of their important milestones in life. I was too preoccupied with our sister's death and my depression that I shut them both out. I left them to look out for themselves, even though I knew that my parents will not be there for them all the time as well. I just felt... guilty of selfishness.

They joined me outside the store after about 20 minutes, my Jelly Babies were long gone and the wrapper was crumpled in my hand.

"I'm hungry," Harry whined.

I sighed and got up from the chair.

"Okay, we'll eat pizza-my treat." I smiled at them and they looked at me weirdly, probably thinking about what came unto me. I never took them for pizza before and I think this would be a teensy-tiny way to somehow make up for lost time.

We headed toward a near pizza place and me and Nate stayed in our booth while the boys ordered pizza. Nate had his head slumped on the back of a chair and his eyes were firmly closed.

"Hey, are you okay?" I asked, nudging his elbow softly.

He opened his hazel eyes and I found myself mesmerized by them once again.
