Grayson lupin- first year

i wake up early this morning to James. James was standing over my bed about to hit me in the face with a pillow. He slowly puts the pillow down.

''hey i was just about to wake you up'' James says hiding the pillow behind his back.

''what time is it'' I ask James while rubbing the guck out my eyes. ''its 7am, Christmas time!'' he says with excitement in his tone. i sit up in my bed slowly, ''you guys wake up at 7am for Christmas?'' I ask politely.

''yes most people do, come out when you're ready.'' James says walking out my door, closing it behind Him, Remus could never.

i get out of my bed and walk over to where my clothes sat. i put them out last night. i have black jeans, a white collard dress shirt then a green and black sleeveless over sweater.

once im dressed i walk over to mirror that is in my room. I put my under eyeliner on and walk out the room.

I see the potter family sitting in a circle on the floor around the huge Christmas tree.theres about 100 presents under there.

I walk over and sit on the couch.

"Welcome to the potters Christmas!" James says smiling.

James is such a happy kid and it makes me happy seeing him smiling like they'res no problems in the world.he skips and struts around Hogwarts,he jumps and shakes his hands when he's happy.

I inspire to be like him.

I smile back at him

"Yes honey,this is for you" me potter says handing me a box with Christmas wrapping.

They got me something?

"Oh um thank you"

I open the box and it's a picture frame of me and remus.on the frame it says 'my brother'

Theirs 2 more.

One of my and Regulus and on the frame it says 'grayson and regulus'.

On the last picture frame it's me,regulus,Evan and barty. On the frame it's says 'the Slytherin quad'

I smile,like a real smile.

"Thank you so much" I say looking at the photos.

Christmas continues.

I have never seen a kid get so happy until I saw James open a record player.

"Effie is there a spell that can make sure that these don't break"I ask.

"Hm yes there is I already had it put on them" she tells me with a smile. "Thank you" I say back.i grab the picture frames of the table and bring them to my room.

I set them in the bottom of my trunk.

James walks into room. I wouldn't really say that he walked into my room he ran.

"Grayson have you ever heard Bowie?" James says quickly.

"Um yea I think so" I tell him. "Well Bowie sounds so much cooler on this muggle player" James tell me while getting on my bed.

We both are sat Chriss cross on my bed staring at this record player as Bowie starts playing.

Changes

Changes starts playing.

Me and James sat there for an hour,just listening to David Bowie and abba.

"This thing is fantastic" James says stretching his legs.

"It is"I agree.

He picks up the record player and as he's about to walk out the door Effie opens it.

Hits James straight in the face.

I starts laughing my ass off.

Effie grabs James face to make sure he's not to badly hurt by the door. And then she starts laughing. "Oi shut it" James tells us. "You ok?" I ask threw my laugh. "Yes Grayson thanks for your concern"he says sarcastically while walking out the door. Effie's still standing there "Grayson would you like to help with dinner?" She asks.

"Oh yea sure"I say getting up from the bed and walking to the kitchen.

"Ok wash your hands and you can cut the vegetables" she says smiling brightly.

I wash my hands and walk to the cutting board.
Carrots, broccoli and many other vegetables were sat on the counter. "You hosting a dinner party or something?" I ask.

"Yes attualy I am" she says.

"Oh,will Remus be coming?"I ask hopefully.
"I don't think so sweetheart,we can owl him?" She asks.

And that's what they do.

The owl the lupin manor asking for Remus and only Remus to join them for a Christmas party.

I sat there waiting for a reply and then I came.

Dear Grayson,

Remus can come to that Christmas party because we want him out of our hair for Christmas. Do not take this a curtsy to you but a reward for lyall and me.

I haven't seen or talked to my brother in two days and I'm already getting withdrawal. I miss him so much that it's driving me crazy but he's not the only one I'm missing.

I'm missing my dorm mates.

Regulus the most but every night I think of them and miss them dearly.

It's 5pm and Remus said he's going to be here at 5:30 pm. I sit on the Potters couch watching the time go by.

Waiting for my brother.

Effie watches me as I watch the clock. "Sweetheart, watching the clock it going to make it feel longer"she says softly. "I know"I say not breaking eye contact with the clock. "What was the longest that you and Remus were apart?" Effie asks.

"4 days" I tell her. "But he's a year above you,how did you manage that contact while he was at Hogwarts?"

"He came home every 4 days, because he had  3 day weekends"I tell her

5:10pm

"How do you feel when he's away from you for long periods of time?"Effie asks

"Sad and anxious" I admit.

She looks concerned

"Would you like to go somewhere with me tomorrow,it's like a doctor's appointment but a little different" she asks.

"I have never been to a doctor before"I admit to her.

5:15pm

"Well Tommarow I'm going to take you to a doctor" she says,I nod in response.

The clock tics slowly.

5:20pm

5:25pm

5:30pm

I get up from the couch and walk to Effie.

"It's 5:30 and Remus isint here yet" I tell he worry in my voice. "He estimated the time so don't worry if he's a little bit late"she reassures me.

5:40pm

I knock on James door and he opens it.

"Remus said he was going to be here at 5:30 it's 5:40, what if he's dead or something" I say panicked. "Wow calm down he's not dead just late"he tells me. He follows me into the kitchen.

I'm pacing.

Then a knock on the back door.

Effie goes to the door and a minute later Remus appears in the kitchen.

"I'm sorry I'm late"he says hugging me.

"Oh,your late? I didn't even notice" I say. James laughs In the corner of the kitchen.

I missed him
