Grayson lupin-2nd year

Effie and Monty meet us at the station. They stood next to a stone pillar with smiles on their faces.

I grabbed Remus by the arm and wrapped my arms around his waist. I hug him tightly my head buried in his blue sweater. "Be careful Remus,please" I say looking up at him. He looks back down at me and puts his hand thru my hair.

"I promise gray,I love you but I have to go now,I will see you soon,I should be coming to James's soon"he says as I put my arms back at my sides. "Oh ok,see you soon,I love you,bye"I say waving.

He waves back.

I walk over to where Effie,Monty and James stood waiting. James smiles at me and Effie pulls me into a hug. "So how was your first year at Hogwarts" Effie says as we make our way. "It was good, uneventful" I say.

We make it to the house and we walk in. It still smells of a comforting vanilla.

"I'm making Mexican rice tonight,it's spicy,Grayson can you take spice?" Effie asks. "Yes I can"I lie,very bad lie. James looks at me with a 'boy,you know damn well-' kinda look.

I walk my stuff up to my room. I place the picture frames on my side table. I reach into my bag and pull out a David Bowie poster that Remus gave me on the train.

Oh do I have a plan for that poster,sorry to James who is gonna be forced to participate.

"Boys dinner" Monty calls up the stairs as me and James run downstairs,James almost pushed me down the stairs.

"James,you git,you could have killed me"I yell at James. "Maybe you should move faster"James tells back. "Grayson watch your language and James stop trying to push Grayson down the stairs"Effie says warningly.

I sit down at the table and there is rice in bowls. That rice looks redder then rice should look. "Why's it reddish?" I ask. Effie smiles and says "because it's spicy" oh yea "oh yea,spicy,got it"I say throwing up a thumbs up.

"Wait,before we eat can I invite Pete over,he lives right next door?" James asks. Effie smiles again "yes of course you can,peter is always welcome". James gets up from the table and runs to the house next door. About five minutes later James and Peter come walking in the door.

Peters smiling and talking about something with James. They both come and sit at the table. James is sitting across from me and peters sitting next to James. Effie and Monty and siting at the ends of the table facing each other.

I look at the food in the bowl and question myself about why I lied and said I could handle spicy food.

I take my spoon and take a bite.

I feel like my tongue is evaporating. I feel like my life is ending.

I open my mouth panting like a dog, waving my hand Infront of my mouth. "Oh shit"I say. James is laughing at my reaction and Monty looks amused. Peter looks confused and Effie looks worried. "I thought you said you could handle spice" James asks.

"I lied" I say thru panting. Effie laughs and says two spells,one to make my mouth not hot and the other to make my food not spicy. "You good now?" Peter asks after I settled down. "Oh-um-yes"I say smiling and eating my rice.

I wake up with a plan.

It's early and James isn't awake yet,but I am.

I grab the David Bowie poster and tape,I walk into James's room quietly. I put the David Bowie poster on his wall facing his bed.

After that I walk over too James bed and jump on him. Shaking him awake,he squeals. "Grayson what-" before he could finish I drag him out of bed and make him stand Infront of the David Bowie poster.

"James hand on your heart and stand for the pledge to David Bowie"I say as I put my hand on my heart. He looks scared and confused. He does as told.

I say a random chant about how David bowie is our lord,and James repeats.

"What the fuck was that"he says still tired. "No idea I just thought of it when Remus gave me the poster."I say.

"You thought to scare the shit out of me then make me say a chant just because Remus gave you a poster?" He asks sitting back on his bed. "Um yes of course I did" I say walking out of his room and down stairs,James follows.

Effie is standing in the kitchen, cereal box's on the table for us to choose from.

"James are you ok,I thought I heard you scream?"effie asks while putting a dish away. "Grayson scared the shit out of me but its fine"James says while sitting down and getting cereal.

"James,watch your language"Effie says hitting him on the back of the head. "But he made me chant to David Bowie,I deserve a curse word for the trauma I went thru"he pouts. "Chant to David Bowie? You know what,I don't want to know" she says.

"But I have good news,Remus,peter and Sirius are going to spend the rest of the summer with us"she says smiling and I jump up. "Remus is coming?" I ask smiling brightly.

"Yes he should be here around two"she tells us. "And Sirius,how did you get him to be able to stay?" James asks. "He told them that he's staying with one of his uncles,I told him that lieing is bad but he just ignored that" she said.

Remus is coming over,I'm so excited I'm going to lose it.

It's around two pm and Remus just arrived. I run to him and wrap my legs around his waist,he held me up. "I missed you so much moony"I say while getting down. "I saw you yesterday,you weirdo"he says ruffling my hair. "Doesn't mean I can't miss you" I say walking into the living room.

"Remus I don't think I will ever feel safe in my own bed after what your brother did to me this morning"James says as he gets of the couch to greet moony. "What did he do"Remus says sounding nervous.

"He walked into my bedroom while I was sleeping and taped a poster of David Bowie on the wall,then he jumped onto my bed and shook me awake then grabbed my hand and dragged me to stand Infront of the poster then he made me say some weird chant about how David Bowie is our savior" James tells Remus

Remus starts laughing, "Merlin,it's not that funny it was the scariest moment of my life"James over exaggerates.

"Your so dramatic" I say.
