Ella was waiting for Josiah in front of an amusement park. She hated roller coasters. She didn't even know why she said yes to the boy's invitation, but here she is by herself waiting for Josiah. Suddenly hands grabbed Ella's waist and lifted the girl off of the ground. Ella screamed until she looked up to see Josiah looking down at her.

"Jo, Let me go", Ella demanded, trying to get out of Josiah's grip, but she failed.

"Ah, you're so pretty today", Josiah said, turning the girl towards him.

"You didn't even look at me", Ella said looking into the boy's eyes that she learned to love.

"I don't need to look at you, I already know", the boy said, making butterflies appear in Ella's stomach.

"Oh my God Jo", Ella said, rolling her eyes as the two started walking into the park.

"Oh c'mon, you should've seen your face! It was hilarious", Josiah said laughing as the two were walking off of the rollercoaster.

"I hate you so much right now", Ella said, crossing her arms and avoiding eye contact with Josiah. Josiah had dragged Ella onto a huge rollercoaster despite the girl's protests. She had told him about her fear but he thought she was just saying that and would love it by the time it was over. He was wrong, very wrong. Ella hated it so much, she was fighting back the urge to throw up and cry. Josiah looked over at Ella to see she wasn't joking and actually hated it.

"I'm sorry", he said, putting his arm around the girl he loved, trying to comfort her. "It's just really-", Josiah was cut off.

"I get it", Ella said letting her anger take over. She didn't mean to snap at him like that, but she did. Ella then walked over to the food truck and got out her money for a churro. She bought the churro and started walking over to the tables to see the only available table occupied by Josiah. Ella sat down and took a bite of the churro enjoying it a little too much. She had cinnamon all over her face, but she didn't care. She was about to take another bite when Josiah beat her to it, biting off the other half of the churro. Ella's jaw dropped and she glared at the boy.

"You have something on the corner of your mouth", Josiah said laughing. Ella tried to wipe it off but missed completely. Josiah laughed at Ella as he walked over to the side of the table she was sitting on. He sat down next to Ella and placed one hand on one side of her face while he gently wiped the cinnamon off of her cheek with his thumb. Ella's heart was racing. She didn't know what to do or say. Josiah was feeling the same way.

He quickly pulled his hands away and said, "You're welcome?"

"Thanks", Ella said laughing and looking at Josiah.

"I'm still mad at you", Ella said, crossing her arms once again.

"I know", Josiah said, grabbing the girl's hand and pulling her away from the tables.

Later, Josiah had left Ella alone so that he could go on a rollercoaster. Ella had decided to go on the Ferris wheel. She kept thinking about the encounter with Josiah from earlier. She couldn't stop thinking that she wanted more, she wanted him to be her boyfriend. She was brought out of her thoughts when the Ferris wheel stopped. Her turn was over and she started to walk out of the Ferris wheel when she looked up to see Josiah standing there leaning his arm on the side of the cart.

"I thought we were saving the best ride for last?" Josiah said, referring to the Ferris wheel and looking down at Ella. Josiah told the worker that he was going to ride with Ella and they let him on. He sat across from her. Ella was thinking of possible things to say when Josiah beat her to it.

"I didn't know you were scared of this", the boy said with a genuine tone.

"Honestly, I don't know why I came here. It's one of my biggest fears", Ella said, trying to avoid eye contact.

"I thought you would've loved it by the end and it's my fault for doing everything my way", Josiah said, the genuine tone from before still present.

"I would've still gone with you even if you knew", Ella took a deep breath, "As long as you're happy I guess". Ella giggled looking down at her feet.

A silence passed and suddenly, Josiah grabbed Ella's arm pulling her towards him. Their faces were inches apart and Ella gasped, waiting on what the boy she loved would say. The girl's heart was beating at an insane rate and little did she know Josiah's heart was doing the same, but a lot more.

He finally found the courage to speak and he said, "Ella, I've been the happiest I've ever been since I met you and I want you to be my girlfriend".

Ella's heart skipped a beat as she realized the boy she loved had liked her back. She was ecstatic. Her smile began to grow and it was the biggest she had ever smiled. Josiah was nervously waiting on Ella's answer when the girl placed her hands on the back of his head. Josiah's eyes flickered from her eyes to her lips as if asking for approval, but before Ella could respond, Josiah leaned in to kiss her. Ella could feel fireworks going off in her head. Josiah was extremely proud of himself, he had been keeping his feelings in a bottle for so long and he was relieved to let them out. The kiss had ended and the two looked at each other and laughed.

"You do not know how long I've been waiting to do that", Josiah said looking into Ella's eyes.

"You don't know how long I've waited for you to do that", Ella said laughing at her new boyfriend. Josiah grabbed her hand as they walked off of the ferris wheel together.
