Ella and Josiah hang out all of the time and every time they hang out, they learn something new about each other.

"What do you wanna do today?" Josiah asked Ella even though he knew it was risky since she is creative and could come up with millions of different activities they could do.

"Hmm, How about a picnic?" Ella asks excitedly.

"As long as we can sing right?" Josiah asks jokingly.

"Yes, we can sing Jo", Ella says smiling at him.

They had their picnic set up and they were eating talking about all the inside jokes they had together. One time, Ella and Josiah were helping each other study and they were sitting on Josiah's twin bed. Ella was sitting on the edge of the bed and Josiah started teasing and tickling her.

"You're just so beautiful Elle. You make me happy. You're so funny", Josiah showered the girl with compliments. Ella pretended she didn't like it, but she secretly loved it. Who wouldn't like being showered with compliments?

"Stop Jo, stop it", Ella laughed, trying to get Josiah to stop, but it didn't work. Since she was sitting on the edge of the bed, she fell off. But, she grabbed Josiah's hand dragging him off of the bed with her. They laughed for at least 30 minutes because they kept adding phrases that made it 10 times funnier. Anyways, back to the picnic. They were having a lot of fun reminiscing on old times when Ella felt a raindrop hit her head.

"Was that rain?" She asks Josiah hoping he didn't feel it too.

"Noooo, it definitely wasn't rain", Josiah said, trying to lie.

"Josiah, it was rain, wasn't it?" Ella replied.

"Yep", Josiah said, "We're screwed. I'm so sorry".

The rain picked up and they were starting to get soaked, but Ella just stood there with a smile on her face which confused Josiah.

"Why are you smiling?" Josiah said, afraid of the girl's answer.

"It's raining", Ella said with a smile still on her face.

"Yes, we just confirmed that", Josiah replied.

"Jo, what do couples do in the rain?" Ella said happily.

"I don't know, but we aren't a couple", Josiah said, wishing the second part wasn't true.

"That doesn't matter Jo. They dance, couples dance in the rain", Ella said, grabbing his hand and pulling him into the grass to dance. They began dancing to many different varieties of music. They were laughing and singing and having an overall great time together.

The rain stopped and the two were laying on their soaked picnic blanket looking up at the stars.

"Jo, why didn't you tell me you were so good at dancing", Ella said, turning her body to face him.

Josiah did the same as he replied, "I don't know, it never came up. Wait, did you just compliment me?" Josiah was amazed, Ella always received compliments, but she never gave them.

"Don't get used to it", Ella said secretly loving it. The two sat there happy with their night. They both silently agreed that their lives wouldn't be complete without the other.
