Ella and Josiah were hanging out at Ella's house when they were getting hungry. They decided to go get food and Ella was being stubborn.
"You always know where you want to go for food. Why don't you know now?" Josiah asked Ella as they were getting in the car to go get food.
"Why can't you pick?" Ella asked, looking at Josiah with puppy dog eyes.
"No, I want you to pick", Josiah said looking away from his girlfriend's puppy dog eyes.
"No, you should pick,'' Ella said.
"No, you", Josiah replied. Ella was about to say, 'No, you', but Josiah interrupted her.
"We're not doing this. How about I give you some options and you have to pick out of those?" Josiah said hoping his idea would work.
"Sounds good to me", Ella said with enthusiasm.
Josiah turned to Ella and held his keys up to his mouth like a game show host's microphone. "Dine in or take out?" He asked the girl holding the 'microphone' toward her.
"Take out", Ella said waiting for the next question.
"Eat in the car or bring it home?" Josiah asked.
"Bring it home", Ella responded.
"Canes or Chick-Fil-A?" Josiah asked, hoping he had gotten the girl to choose.
"Ahh, I don't know, um Canes, no Chick-Fil-A", Ella said trying to give her answer fast like in the game shows.
Josiah made a buzzer noise and shook his head with fake disappointment and said, "Wrong answer, better luck next time".
"Darn, how will we ever decide where we will eat?" Ella said sarcastically before sharing eye contact with Josiah. The two stared at each other for a second then they started hysterically laughing.
Their laughter died down when Josiah said, "Well, you do have the option of a bonus question that will double your points and earn you a special meal paid for you by the coolest guy on earth". Josiah had the biggest smile on his face while he said this, making Ella have the biggest smile too.
"Niall Horan is here?" Ella joked which led Josiah to punch her lightly in the arm.
"Paid for by the second coolest guy on earth! What do ya say? Ready to risk it for the biscuit?" Josiah said, trying his best to hold in his laughter.
"I'm so ready", Ella said, determined to earn the prize.
Josiah pretended to read off of a card and said, "The question is ... kiss me now or kiss me later?"
Ella was surprised by Josiah's cleverness but responded with no hesitation, "Now, definitely now".
Josiah smiled at his girlfriend and said, "DING DING DING. That was correct. You have won the game. Congratulations!" Ella smiled like a kid on Christmas proud of herself thinking about how lucky she was to have a boyfriend and best friend like Josiah. Josiah tucked a piece of Ella's hair behind her ear and gently placed his hand on her cheek. He smiled before he kissed her and his smile remained throughout the kiss making Ella smile as well. The kiss was gentle yet passionate. Ella wouldn't ask for anything else but this moment. It was perfect.
