"y/n! are your ready? the children are waiting," hanbin, your brother, yelled out as your frantically stuffed your makeup into the pouch.
"coming! 5 more minutes!" you shouted back as grabbed the last few items you felt were necessary.
"you said that 10 minutes ago..." hanbin mumbled as he waiting at the main door, his foot holding it open.
rushing towards him with your backpack and bag of snacks, you grinned at him as he rolled his eyes at you.
"you had 2 days to pack and you decided to pack last minute... you better not forget anything." hanbin said as he grabbed your backpack from you and led you to the car where you could hear the blasting music.
"hanbin hyung! it took you long enough!" gunwook called out from somewhere in the back. glancing into the car, you notice that the whole car was packed and the only empty seat left for you was the middle seat in between gyuvin and yujin, who were both vibing weirdly to the music.
apologising to the boys, you climbed in while hanbin began to start the drive to the countryside.
"hey... is that snacks i see?" gyuvin asked while eyeing the bag of snacks you grasped in your arms.
"no. they aren't for you." you replied gripping the bag even tighter. truth be told, you felt extremely nervous sitting next to gyuvin as you had the tiniest crush on him. everyone in the group could tell, and your brother hanbin arranged the seating so that your were forced to sit next to him.
"could i have one?" yujin called out from the other side of you. nodding your head profusely, you smiled and handed the bag to yujin who grinned teasingly at gyuvin.
"hey!" gyuvin whined as your stuck your tongue out at him. he began ranting about how you favoured yujin more (even though everyone knew you liked him) and began fake crying.
used to his antics, you grabbed a gummy bear out of the bag and stuffed it into his mouth. freezing in his spot, gyuvin glanced at you who smiled brightly at him as redness began to spread across his cheeks. after that, the car was filled with singing and laughter for the next hour.
after about another hour of driving, your eyes felt heavy as you began dozing off, trying to keep your head as straight as possible.
unknowingly, your head fell onto yujin's shoulder, who glanced at you before tapping gyuvin and signalling for him to do something.
gyuvin glanced at your sleeping figure before gently moving your head off of yujin's shoulder and onto his, smiling brightly in the process.

"who's gonna wake them up?" zhanghao asked as he eyed the 'couple' in the backseat.
a chorus of no's followed and the sound of it gently stirred you awake. opening your eyes, you glanced around and began to move your head when you felt a weight on yours. glancing slightly to the side, you're shocked to see gyuvin's black t-shirt and his hands enclosed around yours.
panicking, you shot up, in the process, you head bumped against his jaw and woke him up.
"ouch."
"oh my gosh, i'm so so sorry gyuvin!" you exclaimed as you watched him rub his bruised jaw. gently reaching your hand out to touch his jaw, you felt him tense up. retracting your hand, as the boys began filing out of the car, the awkwardness hung in the air as you rushed out of the car behind yujin.

"wow! the beach is so pretty!" you exclaimed as you watch matthew, taerae and gunwook play in the sand while jiwoong and hanbin set up the bonfire. zhanghao stood watching gyuvin chase after yujin with a motherly smile on his face.
"yea, it is isn't it?" you heard a voice call out. turning around, you spot ricky standing next to you with 2 cups in his hand. wordlessly handing one to you, you thank him gratefully and began chugging the contents down.
"you like him don't you?" ricky asked as he glanced at you curiously. choking on your drink you began violently coughing.
"what! who- no! what? like who?" you began to desperately defend yourself as you felt ur cheeks heat up.
"gyuvin. it's so obvious but his just painfully oblivious." ricky said with a small sigh as he watched his best friend chase after the 17 year old.
"no... i don't like him. where did you even get the absurd idea from!" you exclaim defensively. rolling his eyes, ricky ignored your words and continued.
"it's so painfully obvious y/n... everyone can see it. and he likes you too." ricky said as he tore his eyes away from the 2 now childishly splashing water at each other while zhanghao stood laughing loudly.
"okay, fine. i like gyuvin... but he doesn't even like me back, i'm not willing to risk this friendship." you say as you watch gyuvin sadly.
"oh my god, you're both so unsavable. trust me y/n, he likes you back." ricky urged as he pulled out his phone and began scrolling through his gallery.
he then began showing you pictures of the way gyuvin looked at you and the way gyuvin stuck by you in every group photo. still unconvinced, ricky sensed your doubt and finally pulled up the last 2 photos.
the first one was taken when you had fallen asleep on his shoulder as he watched you with his eyes sparkling.
the second one was taken when he rested his head on yours, a light smile brushed on his face as he held your hand softly.
feeling your cheeks heat up, you looked away from ricky's phone and began staring at the sky.
"what are you waiting for? go confess! i made a bet with jiwoong hyung that you'd confess first and i wanna win!" ricky urged as he watched you fight with your inner voice. after a long debate, you got up thanking ricky and began rushing towards gyuvin who had strayed away from yujin and zhanghao and was just enjoying the night view.
"gyuvin!"
turning around to face you, you could have sworn his face lit up as he watched you walk towards him. under the moonlight, his eyes shone so brightly that it was as though he held the galaxy within them. looking at you softly, he hummed. subconsciously, you shivered as the wind blew and your cursed at yourself for forgetting to pack a jacket. noticing, he took of his jacket and placed it around you softly, smiling to himself.
"i like you kim gyuvin."
